Abstract

A washing-machine drum has a sliding door 2 for an aperture 4 which is held closed by a latch 5, the other edge of the door being held by a door clamping member 7 whose free end passes through slot 8 in the door. Latch 5 comprises a shell 5 with fingers 6 supporting the edge of the door. As the door is moved, member 7 is accommodated in a rib 9 in door 2.
