Abstract
Images are obtained utilizing manifold sets similar to those described in Specification 1,150, 381 in which the imaging layer is not inherently cohesively weak but is separated from the receiving layer by a layer of activating material having a lower melting point than the imaging layer, which on heating to its melting point partially dissolves the imaging layer. In processing the manifold set is heated to a temperature above the melting point of said activating layer. The activating layer may comprise longchain petroleum waxes of 18 to 13C, m-terpheryl, chlorinated polyphenyls, perchloiohydrocarbons, polybutylenes, bipheryl and mixtures therof.
