Abstract
A mould, Fig. 20, for the manufacture of a tamper-proof closure (see Division B8) by an injection process comprises a case 80 and a core 90, between which are annular spaces 85, 86, 81 corresponding respectively to the skirt 61, stopper 63, and tearable guarantee band 62 of the closure, Fig. 22. The case 80 and core 90 are in contact on both sides of the space 81, at the abutments 82 and 92 on one side, and 83 and 93 on the other. The abutment 92 has a series of channels (94), Fig. 21 (not shown), opening into the space 85, and these correspond to ribs 67 on the skirt 61 providing a line of perforations 69 around the closure. The abutment 93 has similar channels (95) to provide a further line of perforations 66. In a modification, the channels may be provided in the case 80 rather than in the core 90, and the closure produced may have a cap, Fig. 2 (not shown), in place of the stopper 63.
