Abstract

P.V.C. compositions comprise 5-50 parts of a mineral filler per 100 parts of polymer and a plasticizer mixture of which (a) at least 40% by weight comprises a C 4 -C 13 alkyl ester of isomatic, citric, adipic, sebacic or azelaic acid and (b) the remainder is an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl ester of phthalic acid or a C 2 -C 8 glycol bisphthalate. The filler may be calcium carbonate, calcium silicate, diatomaceous earth, quartz, silica or alumina, and the plasticizer is preferably a mixture of dioctyl adipate and dioctyl phthalate. The compositions are used for making packing foils.
