Abstract
Internal combustion engine characterized by being composed of at least one group of cylinders formed by two parallel cylinders located on either side of the crankshaft whose main axis is normal to the plane containing the axes of the two cylinders; each cylinder encloses two reciprocating pistons mounted in opposition so that they move synchronously in opposite directions; the pistons of said two cylinders are connected two to two diagonally by elements that establish between them a direct connection that does not pass through the crankshaft from which an elbow is caught by at least one of the elements of said link.
