Abstract
In a weft selector mechanism a plurality of weft selector members, each engageable with a different weft thread, are moved into their active positions by means operated from the batten. As the batten recedes from a roller 40 Fig. 1 (not shown) a bar 35 pivots under spring action and pulse strips 31a-d towards arms 27a-d of the selector mechanism. One strip, e.g. 31a pivots the arm 27a so that a hook 21a presents a threand 20a to a hook 17 moving with the batten, for cutting prior to picking. The other strips are prevented from pivoting the arms by cams 49 moved into position at the beginning of the cycle in response to the pattern mechanism. At beat-up the thread is returned to the hook 21a, and the batten pivots the arm 35 so that the strip 31a disengages its are 27a, which springs to its idle position.
