Abstract

In an arrangement for correcting aperture distortion in television signals, part of the signal is passed from input terminal E to output terminal S via a transistor amplifier T3, provided with negative feedback by, means of emitter circuit resistor R4, and which is linear both as regards frequency and phase. Signals are also passed via a second path, comprising transistors T1, T2 in which the phase response is linear but the gain is proportional to the square of the frequency. Each of the transistors T1, T2 has an emitter circuit resistor R1, R3 respectively, of a much greater value than the respective collector circuit resistor R2, R5 and these emitter circuit resistors are shunted by capacitors C2, C4 comprising voltage variable capacitance junction diodes. Series-connected blocking capacitors C1, C3 enable the response to be controlled from a remote point by means of potentiometer P.
