Press for dispensing a paste by squeezing, comprising a cylindrical housing (1), a pressure mechanism (5) having a plunger plate (7), a shaping nozzle (3), a handle (17) and an operating element (9), within reach of the latter, for the pressure mechanism, the handle (17) being integral with a top part (4) accommodating the pressure mechanism and being attached detachably but nonpositively to the housing (1), characterized in that the handle (17) is designed as a through-grip handle accommodating four fingers and is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing (1), and bears against the latter positively.
