Abstract

An epicyclic gear mechanism or planetary gear mechanism has a sun-gear pinion (4) which is seated on an input shaft (1) and meshes with planet gears (5) which are connected to a carrier plate (7) and are themselves in engagement with an outer internal gear (6). The planet gears (5) each have two sets (8) of teeth separated by an annular slot (9). Spacers (11) in the form, for example, of annular sectors are mounted in the circumferential direction between the planet gears (5) and, at their cut ends, have a semicircular recess (12) with which they engage in the slots (9) in the planet gears (5). The slots (9) in the planet gears (5) lead to the formation of lay-shaft parts (10) which, within the recesses (12), rest against the spacers (11). The spacers (11) are connected to the carrier plate (7) and the latter is connected to the output shaft (2). These gear mechanisms can be used, in particular, as small reduction gear units.
