Abstract

In introducing gas into liquids, in particular a liquid/solid suspension with added flotation reagents, the feeding of the gas introduction medium into the suspension can already take place in the suspension feed lines before they are passed into the actual separation vessel by means of injectors or gas-permeable bodies within gas introduction devices. Known gas introduction devices have, however, poor reproducibility, particularly with respect to the quality of equal gas permeability and, on the pulp side, tend to block fine pore passages by deposition of particles. A gas introduction device (1) according to the invention is characterised in that the orifices (6) are formed in the region (4) of feeding the gas introduction media by mutually spaced leaves (5) arranged in successive rows. In this gas introduction device, the same pressure conditions apply at all orifices at the gas introduction media/suspensions phase transition, so that a continuous introduction, which remains constant, of equally large or equally fine gas bubbles into the suspension is ensured.
