Abstract

Freno de multidisco, del tipo que comprende un primer disco rotatorio solidario con el cubo y un segundo disco rotatorio montado en el cubo con posibilidad de deslizarse paralelo a la dirección del eje de este último, coincidiendo los ejes del cubo y los discos entre si, y un conjunto de zapata de fricción que incorpora revestimientos de fricción que se pueden aplicar contra las caras de los discos por medio de un dispositivo de accionamiento, por ejemplo un gato hidráulico de horquilla, mientras que el segundo disco va montado en un manguito de estrías internas que se puede deslizar sobre una parte de estrías externas del cubo, asegurando el acoplamiento mutuo de estas estrías el segundo disco séa impulsado en rotación por el cubo, conectándose el manguito deslizante al cubo, a cada lado de la región de sujeción del segundo disco por medio de juntas de diafragma deformables de forma generalmente cilíndrica, caracterizado porque estos diafragmas se sitúan al menos parcialmente dentro de superficies metálicas anulares protectoras que rodean coaxialmente zonas de la parte del cubo sobre la que desliza el manguito.
