Abstract

The photo-conductive layer of an aluminium foil supported electroconductographic material contains zinc oxide dispersed in a mixture of polystyrene and a copolymer of styrene and a conjugated diene. Electrolytic development may be achieved by connecting the plate as the cathode and by passing over it an anodic sponge wetted with dilute aqueous solution of a 1: 3 mol ratio silver-thiourea complex. In a further method of electrolytic development the plate is again connected as a cathode and immersed in a developer bath. The developer consists of a mixture of 1: 3 mol ratio silver nitrate-ethylene thiourea complex in dilute aqueous solution, 0. 65 weight per cent silver nitrate, 0. 75 weight per cent acetic acid and 5 weight per cent magnesium acetate.
