Abstract

Un aislamiento exterior para un miembro de horno alargado, refrigerado interiormente, comprendiendo dicho aislamiento: una pinza elástica metálica de forma en general de C para hacer contacto íntimo a lo largo de sustancialmente la totalidad de la superficie interior de la misma con dicho miembro, de modo que sea refrigerada por éste; teniendo dicha pinza elástica partes extremas opuestas que se proyectan hacia dentro, que cierran parcialmente la abertura de la misma, y una pluralidad de proyecciones espaciadas que se extienden hacia fuera desde ella, siendo el espaciamiento entre dichas partes extremas, antes de la introducción sobre dicho miembro, sensiblemente menor que la dimensión de la sección transversal de dicho miembro en la posición en la que hayan de hacer apoyo a topo dichas partes, siendo la elasticidad de dicha pinza y el espaciamiento entre dichas partes extremas suficientes para: 1) abrir e introducir dicha pinza transversalmente sobre dicho miembro, y 2) retener la misma aelevadas temperaturas por acción elástica; y por lo menos dos tejas o ladrillos refractarios segmentados circunferencialmente formados sobre dicha pinza elástica antes de la introducción sobre dicho miembro y unidos a dicha pinza por dichas proyecciones, teniendo dicho refractario suficientes características de aislamiento como para proteger dicha pinza frente a las temperaturas del horno; habiendo sido conformados dichos segmentos por aplicación primeramente de un lubricante orgánico a la superficie exterior de dicha pinza, para evitar la adherencia de los ladrillos a la misma y para evitar la rotura cuando se abre dicha pinza para introducirla.
