Abstract

Dispositivo protector de los ligamentos del pie, caracterizado porque comprende una suela que se coloca bajo el pie y se extiende desde la parte del talón por lo menos sobre la parte del arco, una tobillera provista de medios de sujeción para sujetarla firmemente alrededor de la parte del tobillo en la pierna; y elementos de conexión flexibles pero virtualmente inextensibles en el sentido longitudinal, dispuestos para conectar la tobillera, en cada lado del pie, a la suela, por lo menos en sus partes delantera y trasera, por lo que los movimientos normales del tobillo se pueden efectuar sin restricción, pero se evitan los movimientos laterales excesivos que de otro modo someterían los ligamentos del pie a tensiones excesivas.
