GB 2479202 discloses a scaffolding of this type. The folding base includes an articulation around a vertical axis, so that, when the stair assemblies are turned against each other, the base is folded into two parts in planes parallel to the planes of the stair assemblies.

Thus, the applicant company sells, under the name ILLICO, scaffolds comprising two sets of ladders maintained remotely by a pre-assembled folding base, established so that, in a closed situation, the folding base is maintained in the vertical plane, perpendicular to the plans of the stair sets. This allows a relative volume to be released between the ladder assemblies in a closed situation, thus allowing to lodge in it a plank folded in two, for example. Additionally, when the stair sets are turned against each other, the risk that these sets do not remain in parallel planes with each other is relatively small.

US 3071206 A discloses a scaffolding system according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method of mounting said scaffold system according to the preamble of claim 5.

Thus, there is a need for a scaffolding system capable of moving from a closed situation to an open situation, and offering more safety without sacrificing compactness in a closed situation.

A scaffolding system according to claim 1 is proposed.

In this way, the folding base is preassembled and, when the ladder assemblies move away from each other, the folding base is brought to, and locked in, its position in an open position. Unlike the ILLICO product, which involves manual interlocking operations of the oblique bars, it is not necessary to provide specific maneuvering gestures, which allows to guarantee more security.

Additionally, this organization with a sliding joint implies that, when the scaffold is open or closed, the movement, at a certain distance, of the element of the folding base integral with the first element of the grid, relative to the second element of the grid, is acted upon.
