Procedure for polymerizing butadiene, transposing cis-1,4-polybutadiene endowed with an average molecular weight and with a molecular weight distribution comprised within a determined scale, which is carried out in the presence of catalysts obtainable from halogenated organic compounds of metals belonging to the group 2nd or 3rd of the Periodic System and of a cobalt compound and characterized in that the average molecular weight of cis-1,4-polybutadiene is regulated by varying the concentration of the monomer in the polymerization medium, and, in particular, they obtain with high concentrations of monomer high molecular weights, while with low concentrations of monomer low molecular weights are obtained.
