Abstract
Una composición de vacuna caracterizada por que la vacuna comprende un disolvente no polar que comprende un adyuvante lipofílico y por que comprende una cantidad inmunizante eficaz de un antígeno inactivado de E. canis asociada a células; en donde el antígeno provoca una respuesta inmune protectora, pero provoca una respuesta humoral mínima en un sujeto cuando la vacuna se administra como una vacuna primaria; en donde el antígeno se genera a partir de E. canis sometido a pases sobre una célula canina, en donde el adyuvante comprende 6,6' dimicolato de trehalosa y en donde el disolvente no polar es un sistema de disolventes de cloroformo que comprende un 65-95 % de cloroformo volumen/volumen y un 5,0-30 % de metanol volumen/volumen.
Description
de plaquetas promedio (control frente a vacunado) después de la prueba y la Tabla 8 proporciona un resumen de los datos. Los perros que tenían recuentos de plaquetas inferiores a 150.000 plaquetas/µl de sangre para dos o más lectura se consideraron que estaban en la categoría grave y se encontraban en un alto riesgo de sangrado al herirse. Los trabajadores al cuidado de los animales podían identificar fácilmente estos perros ya que la herida asociada con 5 los sangrados de la venipunción persiste durante una cantidad de tiempo considerable después de que se haya tomado la muestra. En los perros de control, 6 de 8 (75 %) tenía recuentos de plaquetas en la categoría de grave. Solo 2/8 (25 %) de los vacunados tenía recuentos en la categoría de grave. Estadísticamente, esta diferencia no era significante (p = 0,0768). Sin embargo, la mortalidad en al menos un perro de control censuró los datos ya que el perro murió prematuramente en el estudio ya que mostraba una trombocitopenia grave. Si no hubiera muerto el
10 perro, el estudió huera concluido con que al menos 7/8 de controles mostraron trompocitopenia grave. Puesto que la mortalidad es una manifestación clínica mucho más grave que la trombocitopenia, la variable primaria se reanalizó como trombocitopenia o mortalidad. Teniendo en cuenta la mortalidad, la diferencia entre los de control y los vacunados se vuelve significante (p=0,0213)

Glóbulos rojos: La Figura 2 muestra los recuentos de eritrocitos promedio durante el periodo después de la prueba. La Figura 2 muestra que el promedio de los perros de control fue inferior a lo normal durante la mayoría del periodo de prueba, en el que el promedio de los vacunados permaneció en el intervalo normal durante la mayoría del periodo
20 de prueba. La tabla 9 ilustra la gravedad de la prueba según el 100 % de los perros de control cumplió la definición del Manual Merck de anémicos y el 63 % progresó a una categoría grave. Ninguno de los perros vacunados progresó a una categoría severa de anemia. Esta diferencia es muy significante (p =0,0081).

25 Glóbulos blancos: La Figura 1 resume los resultados de los recuentos de leucocitos durante el periodo después de la prueba. La Figura 1 muestra una disminución grave en el recuento de glóbulos blancos que se observó en los controles. Los datos se resumen mejor en la Tabla 10 en la que se observa una diferencia marcada para leucopenia tanto leve como grave en los perros. Un 38 % de los perros en el grupo de control progresó a la categoría "grave" de
30 leucopenia en la que ninguno de los vacunados lo hizo. Esta diferencia no es significante (p =0,0822). La tabla 10 y la Figura 1 ilustran la diferencia entre los promedios para los vacunados y los controles. El promedio de los controles cae por debajo del nivel mínimo para normal en el que el promedio de los vacunados no lo hizo. Esta tendencia sugiere que con más animales que cada grupo de estudio, es probable que la diferencia sea significante.
