Abstract

Method for isolating electrical conductors by means of micaque paper consists essentially in preparing a sheet of fibrous nature whose face is minimally coated with a layer of micacoat and impregnated with a mixture formed by the following components: a) an acidic polyester containing a a plurality of free carboxyl groups to provide an acid number greater than 250 comprising the reaction product of a glycerin-based mead and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid which may be sebacic or adipic acid and containing from 5 to 10 carbon atoms in which they contain 23 to 3 moles of dicarboxylic acids per mole of glycerin and b) an epoxy resin complex containing epoxy groups and polyester derivatives of a polyhydric organic compound selected from the class consisting of polydric alcohols and phenols possessing at least hydroxyphenolic groups with the oppotions of said polyester and epoxy resin that for each equivalent of epoxide exists from 08 to 12 equivalents of polyester acid.
