Abstract

Explanation of the invention.

This extensible table is a tool that allows us to rescue and transport victims in a pro-lying position (face down). As an example of this type of rescue, in a vehicle overturned on the roof, where the roof is deformed, the victim is in prone position (face down) held by the safety belt and this is the position in which the extraction should be done of the victim outside the vehicle. This is a clear example where the rescue space is irregular and reduced, access to the victim and the placement of a rescue table can be very difficult. To solve rescues in these conditions we need a reduced measurement table that facilitates its introduction into the vehicle's interior, and that is extensible; that once introduced and presented in the victim, we can extend it to support the maximum anatomical surface of the victim, thus obtaining the maximum stability and immobilization allowed by the victim's position, anatomical dimensions, and dimensions and morphology Irregular rescue space.

The longitudinal centered opening in the pieces for facial support, in addition to allowing ventilation, oxygenation and anatomical position, also allows verbal communication with the victim during the rescue and transport process, in case the latter is conscious.

The extendable table can be manufactured in different measures in terms of length to be able to use it in different maneuvers. Taking as reference anthropomorphic average size, we will distinguish three measures for the manufacture of the tables; full table to support the length of an adult's body; half board, to support the length of the trunk (thorax plus abdomen) and head of an adult; and intermediate table, sufficient length to contain pelvic area plus trunk and head of an adult.

The extendable board will have different holes along its perimeter to be able to pass straps and straps, in order to be able to attach the victim to the board, fixing it to it and making safer the mobilization of the victims once supported by the board.

These holes will also allow us to pass the fingers of our hands through them to be able to hold the board firmly during the rescue and transport of the victim.

Preferred Embodiment of the Invention

The extensible table Fig. 1 consists of three rigid flat pieces. The extension movement can be machined by mounting guides between the pieces with a smaller surface area (5) and the piece with a larger surface area (4), thereby reducing friction between the pieces, giving stability and facilitating the extraction / insertion movement.

The material of the board must be rigid and with sufficient consistency to support the weight of the anatomical parts that rest on it; It can be made of plywood, plastic material or light metal, such as aluminum. We could also build the table by combining the mentioned materials. The thickness of the board will depend on the material used for its construction.

The shape of the table will always be rectangular and may have several measures. We will basically distinguish three measures; complete table of more or less 170 centimeters in length in minimum extension and more or less 190 centimeters in maximum extension; intermediate measurement table of more or less 120 centimeters in minimum extension and more or less 140 centimeters in length in maximum extension; and short board of more or less 60 centimeters in minimum extension and more or less 80 centimeters of

In the two pieces with a smaller surface area (5) and the padded material (2) they can be fixed by means of the aforementioned fixing systems (glued, stapled), two velcro straps, to be able to fix them and other elements of restraint that allows immobilizing the skull and cervical segment of the victim.

Along the perimeter of the body support surface (thorax and abdomen) we will make different holes (3) to pass through them straps or fastening straps and thus be able to fix the victim to the table. These holes (3), at the same time will help us to pass the fingers through them and take the board firmly and safely; to be able to hold it, lift it and move it. The number of holes (3) will vary depending on the length of the piece with larger surface area (4).

The assembly of the two pieces with a smaller surface area (5) and the padded material (2) must add an approximate thickness of 6 centimeters; thick enough to allow facial support on the board to ensure that the victim's airways are separated from any other surface that makes contact by the bottom of the board, thereby allowing airway permeability and possible lodging of a mask to administer oxygen.
