Abstract

Pivoting device for presentation media

The present invention relates to a pivoting device for presentation means, for example a panel, a heat sealed bag, or a plug / message.

In stores, supermarkets and, more generally in the environment dedicated to the sale of products, there is a need to present special offers on some products or indicate the categories of products that are on the shelf.

Presentation devices are known which comprise a presentation panel hung from a bar supported by one or more bases that rest against a shelf. The bar extends horizontally in a direction substantially orthogonal to the shelf protruding therefrom, said panel being hung near the outermost end of the bar, near the innermost one that is associated with said bases.

Said structure allows the construction of a horizontal bar flag to be simulated, with the panel being placed in a vertical plane orthogonal to the shelf.

If a user hits the panel, the bar rotates disadvantageously around a vertical axis thus bringing the panel closer to the shelf, and thus limiting the visual effect on the next user. A series of impacts can bring the panel near the shelf suppressing its function completely.

If the bases were fixed to the shelf, an impact will be dangerous due to the low flexibility of the bar that also runs the risk of breaking.

As described for example in US-6932226, supports for presentation panels without bars are known. These supports have a certain flexibility around a vertical axis, but require that the panel to be presented is close to the edge of the shelf, thereby limiting the attractive force on the user. In addition, these supports are only suitable for simple panels.

A presentation device describing the preamble of claim 1 is known from document CA 2 634 935 A1.

It is an objective of the present invention to manufacture a presentation device with a horizontal bar for presenting panels that is easy to manufacture, light, non-bulky, of reasonable cost and that overcomes the problems of the aforementioned presentation means, in particular well visible to the user.

According to the invention, such an objective is achieved by a pivoting presentation device according to claim 1. Said pivoting presentation device includes a pivoting body around a first axis, which can be coupled to support means and neatly connected to a coupling member of a bar oriented in accordance with a second axis and adapted to support presentation means, said first axis being orthogonal to said second axis.

These and other features of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of a practical embodiment thereof, shown by way of non-limiting example with reference to the attached drawings, in which:

A display device 1 according to the present invention comprises a pivoting member 2 slidably associated with a holding block 3.

As is evident from the observation of Figure 1, for example, said pivoting member 2 comprises a

pivoting body 4 adapted to connect a coupling member 5 of a bar 6 to a plate 7 to be coupled with said holding block 3.

The pivoting body 4 includes two concave surfaces 41 with opposite concavity, delimited by two concave edges 43, again with opposite concavities.

Said concave surfaces 41 terminate on the lower side 72 of said plate 7 diverging from one another, thereby defining a through hole 42 with a substantially triangular section (Figure 5).

Each edge 43 is divided into two parts 431 and 432 at the upper end portion thereof to form the two sides of said triangular through hole 42.

Said concave surfaces 41 have a parabolic design.

The coupling member 5 is substantially a cylinder 51, which is hollow at the top, of a piece along a guideline thereof with said pivoting body 4 and open at the bottom along another guideline for a coupling easier with the bar 6, which has two lateral grooves 61 that can be slidably coupled with two rails 52 present in the hollow cylinder 51.

The edges 43 end at the bottom of said hollow cylinder 51 in a guideline thereof.

Said plate 7 has two edges 71 at the top adapted to be slidably coupled to a step 31 of said lock 3.

There are male members 72 on the inner side of the edges 71 adapted to be coupled to female members 32 on the outer surface of the block 3 (Figure 4) to correctly position the pivoting body 4 with respect to the block 3.

The holding block 3 can be replaced by any other holding member, for example, by T-hinges that are embedded in the slits of a magnet.

Said block 3 may include magnetic members in the upper surface 32 thereof, to be coupled to the lower surface 11 of a shelf 10 (Figure 6).

The block 3 can be coupled to any support means, for example a horizontal surface, not necessarily of metal, by means of adhesives or suction cups or other coupling systems.

The plate 7 and the block 3 can form a single coupling body.

The bar 6 can be associated with a display panel 12 by means of the hooks 13 (Figure 1).

The pins 14 close a cavity of the bar 6.

Alternatively, the bar 6 can simply be tubular in shape with a slot for inserting a thin presentation panel, for example a single sheet of paper. The sliding coupling between the bar 6 and the hollow cylinder 51 is produced by simple friction at the tangency points within said hollow cylinder 51.

Observing Figure 2, it is possible to understand the pivoting movement of the pivoting member 1 which consists of an oscillating rotation about a vertical axis V (see the arrows at the bottom).

The bar 6 which in a rest position is oriented in accordance with the O axis orthogonal to the S axis of the shelf (Figure 6), can also rotate around said V axis.

In use, if a user hits the bar 6, the latter rotates around the V axis in the direction imposed by the impact and then elastically returns to the initial position.

In practice, starting from an initial position according to the O axis, the bar 6 oscillates around the V axis between a position 6 'with an O' directive and a position 6 "with an O" directive until it returns to the position initial 6 with a guideline O.

The pivoting body 4 advantageously deforms without breaking, in particular due to the concave surfaces 41 and the concave edges 43 which are very thin compared to the width of said surfaces 41, thereby ensuring significant stability of the bar 6 throughout its presentation guideline O.

The through hole 42 increases the deformation and elastic return capacity of the pivoting body 4.

The bar 6 can have the desired length, allowing an easy visual effect for the user without risk of damage and ensuring that after the impact the display panel 12 returns to its initial position: in effect, a “wave” effect is generated that attracts even more to the next user.

5 As shown in Figure 8, the device 1 according to the invention can be turned upside down, that is the plate 7 is at the bottom while the bar 6 is at the top. The innovative features described above in regard to the pivoting movement do not go.

Figure 9 shows a presentation device 1 according to the invention with different means of presentation, that is, an advertising banner 50 raised with respect to the axis O of the bar 6 by means of a vertical support 51 connected to the bar 6 by means of an opening 52 into which the outer end of the bar 6 is coupled. The innovative features described above in regard to the pivoting movement do not go.

A pivoting presentation device (1) that includes a body (4) that pivots around a first axis (V), and that can be coupled to support means (10) and neatly connected to coupling member (5) of a bar (6) oriented in accordance with the second axis (O) and adapted to support the presentation means (12, 50), said first axis being orthogonal to said second axis (O), characterized in that said pivoting body ( 4) includes two concave surfaces (41) with opposite concavity delimited by two concave edges (43) also with opposite concavities, said concave surfaces (41) on the lower side (72) of a plate (7) diverging from each other, defining in this way a triangular section through hole (42), each edge (43) being divided into two parts (431,432) in the upper end thereof to form two sides of said triangular section through hole (42). 2. A device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that said coupling member (5) is a hollow cylinder (51) at the top of a part along a guideline with said pivoting body (4 ) and open at the bottom along another guideline for easier coupling with the bar (6), said edges (43) ending at the bottom in said hollow cylinder (51) in a guideline thereof. A device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that said bar (6) has two lateral grooves (61) that can be slidably coupled with two rails (52) present in the hollow cylinder (51) . 4. A device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that said pivoting body (4) can be inversely coupled to fastening means (3) to said support means (10) by means of a plate (7). A device (1) according to claim 4, characterized in that said plate (7) has two edges (71) in the upper part adapted to slidably engage with a step (31) of said fastening means ( 3). A device (1) according to claim 5, characterized in that there are male members (72) on the inner side of the edges (71) adapted to engage with the female members (32) on the outer surface of the means of fastening (3) to correctly position the pivoting body (4) with respect to the fastening means (3).
