Abstract
Tinta de naturaleza acuosa y procedimiento de utilización para la obtención de efectos ópticos metálicos sobre sustratos cerámicos, dicha tinta presenta en su composición de una mezcla de componentes sólidos de naturaleza cristalina y/o vítrea, también denominados como multi-componentes, caracterizados por presentar un tamaño de partícula inferior a 5 {mi}m que confieren al sustrato cerámico de efectos metálicos, lustres, nácar y/o iridiscentes; agua como medio dispersante de dichos componentes sólidos; y una mezcla de aditivos capaces de proporcionar a las tintas de unas propiedades físicas y químicas adecuadas para asegurar la perfecta idoneidad de las suspensiones para facilitar su aplicación a través de los sistemas de impresión digital por chorro de tinta, también denominado inkjet.#Dicho procedimiento comprende la aplicación de dichas formulaciones sobre baldosas cerámicas mediante la técnica de decoración por chorro de tinta inkjet, y la cocción posterior de los sustratos así obtenidos mediante tratamientos térmicos de mono-cocción.

Tras el filtrado de la tinta obtenida a 20 µm, se llevó a cabo su caracterización completa, 5 obteniéndose:
-Tamaño de partícula: <5 µm. -Densidad: 1.425 g/cm3 (a 25ºC). -Viscosidad: aproximadamente 50 mPa·s (a 25ºC y 15 s-1).
10 -Comportamiento reológico pseudoplástico. -Tensión superficial estática: 42 mN/m (a 25ºC).
Mediante la impresión por chorro de tinta (inkjet) se decoraron piezas de pavimento de gres de dimensiones 30x30 cm2. A continuación, se dejaron secar empleando una 15 P20143059estufa a 100ºC, para someterlas, posteriormente a un ciclo industrial de cocción de a 1120ºC.
Las superficies cerámicas obtenidas de esta forma presentaban un aspecto brillante con matices iridiscentes y nacarados.
