Abstract

Un aparato para cortar tiras de tejido a partir de una pieza de tejido, que comprende un transportador para llevar el tejido, un armazón dispuesto transversalmente al transportador, una cuchilla giratoria montada sobre el armazón y movible a través del transportador para cortar una tira del tejido, medios para bajar la cuchilla a una posición de corte y para levantar la cuchilla de la posición de corte y medios para mover la cuchilla a través del transportador desde una posición estacionaria de la cuchilla en un lado del transportador con velocidad creciente gradualmente durante parte del movimiento de corte de la cuchilla, siendo reducida gradualmente la velocidad de la cuchilla a una posición estacionaria de la cuchilla en el otro lado del transportador, llevando a cabo además dichos medios un movimiento de retorno de la cuchilla.
