Abstract

878,089. Cutting dough &c. RATIONAL AUTOMATION Ltd. Dec. 30, 1959 [Jan. 1, 1959], No. 60/59. Class 87(2). A strip B of e.g. dough on a conveyer A is cut transversely by a rotatable circular knife I which is guided to move with the dough by a fixed cam K, as it is moved across the dough by a rotating arm C. The knife is held against the dough by a spring F, and after cutting, the levers E, C are returned to their initial relative positions by the action of a cam H on a roller G. The knife shaft is returned to its starting position by a spring J. A number of arms C each carrying a knife may be united to form a spider or several levers E, each with a knife, may be mounted in holes on the periphery of a rotating disc.
