Hair styling apparatus equipped with an accessory interlocking means

The present invention relates to a hair styling apparatus, of the straightening type, which includes two arms that allow a thermal treatment of the hair by means of pinching, and equipped with removable accessories. Such accessories can be combs that allow untangling and combing the hair during a pre-straightening, and can be removed for a smoothing finish and even simply for cleaning the combs and the hairdressing apparatus.

For a person skilled in the art, styling devices of the straightening type are known. Especially, prior art publications EP 1652445 B1 and US 2011/0220141 A1 stand out, which disclose two hairdressing devices comprising two arms articulated between sf to determine a clamp and comprising two heating systems that allow treatment of the hair in its grip between these two arms. The hairdressing apparatus comprises two combs mounted in sliding joint on one of the two arms in the direction of its longitudinal axis. Each sliding joint is constituted from a longitudinal groove, established on the arm, and a longitudinal rail, established on the comb and in a complementary manner to said groove. The comb rail is inserted into the groove of the arm, which allows the comb to be guided and slid over the arm for placement and removal. In EP 1652445 B1, the comb simply snaps into a sliding joint on the arm; Only the frictional force exerted between the rail and the groove allows the position of the comb to be supported on the arm. The same occurs in document US 2011/0220141 A1 which, however, in a variant, provides for a fit between the rail and the groove for the support of the comb on the arm.

It is understood that, according to this design of the hairdressing apparatus, as described in publications EP 1652445 B1 and US 2011/0220141 A1, it is necessary to exercise a sufficiently considerable friction between the rail and the groove to properly support the comb in position on the arm during the use of the hairdressing apparatus and, consequently, provide a more or less narrow assembly between these elements. This presents as inconvenient the difficulty of placing the comb on the arm, due to the friction exerted during the sliding of the rail through the groove. The same applies to the removal of the comb, this difficulty can be accentuated due to the expansion of the rail and / or the groove, caused by the activation of the heating system. Additionally, the use of the hairdressing apparatus can lead to wear of the rail and / or the slide, which, by force of use, causes slack in the sliding joint and, consequently, a defective support of the comb on the arm.

The purpose of the present invention is to alleviate the drawbacks of the known hairdressing apparatus and to provide a hairdressing apparatus having a locking means of hair treatment accessory that allows an easier assembly thereof.

Another means of the invention is a means of locking a more reliable and more robust accessory.

For this purpose, the invention relates to a hairdressing apparatus intended for molding the hair, comprising two arms mounted on a hinge, of which at least one comprises a heating plate, said arms being configured to determine a clip that allows said heating plate shaping the hair; at least one hair treatment accessory intended to be assembled in sliding joint on at least one of the two arms, said arm including a groove in the longitudinal axis of the arm intended to receive and support said accessory; an interlocking means that allows, on the one hand, a working position moored according to which the at least one accessory is locked inside the groove and, on the other, a detached working position according to which the at least one accessory is detached from the arm. Said interlocking means comprises at least one flexible mounted part on either said accessory or said groove, said part being intended to rest, respectively, against either a part of the accessory, or a part of the groove, to define a plastic support surface - metal.

"Plastic support surface - metal" means a support of a plastic surface against a metal surface. A support surface defined by a plastic piece in contact against a metal part allows a safer and more reliable interlocking, thanks to the decrease in expansion in case of heating. In addition, the fact of providing a flexible part in the interlocking means makes it possible to suppress friction support and provide for a less narrow mounting clearance, which will make the sliding of the accessory through the groove more fluid.

A hair treatment accessory allows to provide a care or a treatment or a molding or a detangling or a brushing of the hair before or after or during the heating. In order to separate the hair well and spread it correctly on the heating plates, the accessory can comprise, for example, a comb or a brush.

Advantageously, the locking means is established at one end of said groove, preferably at the proximal end of said hinge and at the bottom of the groove. This allows to avoid the breakage of the pieces, and make the device more robust. The arrangement in the background allows to have a symmetrical support.

By addition, said piece is a metal spring strip having at least one protruding part intended to partially determine said bearing surface. The protruding part allows to make the support surface more stable and to perfectly hook the accessory into the groove.

According to the invention, a wall of said groove is at least partially plastic, said wall can be the bottom of the groove or a side wall. Said accessory comprises a bar, which at least one surface is plastic. The use of plastic in these components allows to reduce the cost of the product and facilitate its manufacture.

According to a first embodiment of the invention, said spring strip is integral with said plastic wall, and said accessory surface has a housing intended to receive said protruding part. In this way, said support surface is formed from the protruding part and the housing. According to a second embodiment of the invention, said spring strap is integral with said accessory, and said wall of said slot has a housing intended to receive said protruding part. In this way, said support surface is formed from the protruding part and the housing.

According to a first variant of the accessory, it comprises a comb that has a series of plastic teeth. This allows to untangle the hair during its molding and distribute the strand to be treated on the heating plate.

According to a second variant of the accessory, this comprises a brush having a series of bristle wicks 20, such as, for example, hairs. This allows brushing the hair during molding to make it smoother and distribute the strand to be treated on the heating plate.

Finally, the other arm comprises another heating plate, and the two heating plates are, in particular, flat.

In order to propose several functionalities in a single product kit, the apparatus comprises at least two interchangeable accessories within the slot.

35 As illustrated in FIG. 1, the hairdresser apparatus 1 is of the straightening type and includes two arms 2, 3, which are pivotally articulated with each other by means of a hinge-type joint 4. In this way, the two arms 2, 3 constitute a clip that allows either an angular distance between these two arms 2, 3, or an approach against each other of these two arms 2, 3 to allow the grabbing of arranged hair between said two arms 2, 3.

40 These arms 2, 3 each comprise a heating system. In addition to electric heating means (not illustrated) and control and thermal regulation means (not illustrated), these heating systems each comprise a heating plate 5, 6, which takes the form of a flat surface 5, 6 as illustrated in Figures 2 and 3. These flat heating surfaces 5, 6 are established on the inner faces of the arms 2, 3. Thus, in a clamping, the two flat heating surfaces 5, 6 remain 45 arranged in mutual confrontation and allow, in a concomitant way, to perform a thermal treatment of the hair, to effect its straightening.

As illustrated in Figure 1, the first arm 2 comprises an accessory 9 in the form of a comb that is mounted in sliding joint on one side 5a of the flat heating surface 5. The comb is completely plastic. Comb 9 allows untangling and combing hair during straightening and spreading the lock regularly on the plate. As illustrated in Figures 2 and 4, the sliding joint is constituted from a slot groove 18, established on the arm 2 in the direction of the longitudinal axis X of said arm 2, and a crane bar 91,

established on the comb 9 in the direction of the longitudinal axis X. The gma bar 91 crimps and slides in both directions inside the groove 18, in the direction of the longitudinal axis X, which, by sliding in one direction or another , allows to mount comb 9 on arm 2 or, on the contrary, disassemble it. The groove 18 is constituted from two side walls of which at least one has two pins 181, 182 intended to slide along a rail 93 along the gma bar 91, which allows the comb to be supported when placed . Of course, variants of sliding joint can be contemplated. For example, a gma rail could be provided in the arm 2 and a groove in the comb 9 that slides on the gma rail.

As illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, the arm 2 comprises a first embodiment of an interlocking means 15 which is established within the slot 18 in correspondence with the proximal end 18b of said hinge. If necessary, the locking means 15 can also be established at the distal end 18a of said hinge. The locking means 15 comprises a metal spring strip 16 located on a wall 19 which constitutes the bottom of the groove 18 which, in turn, is made of plastic. Said spring strap 16 is constituted from a foot 160 which allows the fixation of the spring strap 16 to the arm 2 and of a deformable active strap 165 relative to the foot 160 in case of understanding, which comprises a protruding part 161. Said active strap 165 is located at the bottom of the groove 18 and extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis X. Also included in the locking means 15, there is a housing 92 on the gma bar 91, intended to receive said spring strap 16 determine, with its protuberant part 161, a plastic-metal support surface (SA) when the comb is in a working position tied. According to this embodiment, the gma bar 91 is completely plastic and has a plastic surface 91 'on which said housing 92 is located.

As illustrated in FIG. 5, a second embodiment of the locking means 15 can also be contemplated. According to this embodiment, the locking means 15 comprises an L-shaped spring strip 16 'comprising a first branch 162 fixed inside the groove 18 and a second branch 163 slightly flexible in relation to the first branch 162. The second branch 163 has a protruding part 161 'and the comb 9 has, on one side of the gma bar 91, which is a plastic surface 91 ', a housing 92 in the form of a through hole, intended to receive said protuberant part 161' and determine therewith a plastic-metal support surface (SA) when the comb is in working position moored

In the case where the apparatus is equipped with a vaporization system, the arm 2 comprises a series of holes 7 for the steam outlet, as is visible in Figure 1. Preferably, the comb is established between the heating plate and the holes 7.

Of course, it is possible to imagine other variants of the locking means that are not illustrated, for example, an arrangement according to which the spring strap 16 or 16 'is fixed to the comb, and its protruding part 161 or 161' interacts with a cavity in the slot wall 18 to determine a contact surface. The spring strap can also take other forms, always allowing reliable interlocking.

In order not only to comb the hair but to brush it to make it brighter, another accessory can be proposed in the form of a brush comprising hair wicks, designated with reference 10, comprising a gma bar 11 that has a surface of plastic 11 'and a housing 12 intended to receive the spring strap 16, 16'. It is also possible to propose to the users the two types of comb 9, 10 so that they can change them if necessary.

Thus, alternatively to a straightener, another hair molding apparatus, such as an iron, etc. can be contemplated.

Of course, other modifications may be introduced within the scope of the appended claims.
