Abstract

Dispositivo de acoplamiento flexible universal destinado a transmitir un par de rotación entre dos árboles rotativos susceptibles de un desplazamiento axial o angular uno respecto a otro y en el cual la unión entre los árboles está asegurada por armaduras metálicas en espiral fijadas por uno de sus extremos en puntos regularmente espaciados alrededor de un órgano solidario de uno de los árboles a acoplar y por su otro extremo en puntos regularmente espaciados en el interior de un manguito solidario del otro árbol a acoplar, caracterizado porque tiene una pluralidad de armaduras constituidas por bandas delgadas de metal, cada una de las cuales forma por lo menos una espira completa, siendo tal el número de bandas, el número de espiras para cada banda y la relación entre el diámetro externo de dicho órgano solidario de uno de los árboles y el diámetro interno de dicho manguito, que el intervalo en cada punto entre dos bandas próximas en el sentido radial sea pequeño en relación conla anchura de dichas bandas y, de preferencia, inferior a 1/5 de esta anchura, estando rellenos dichos intervalos de una materia capaz de mantener estos intervalos prácticamente constantes, permitiendo a la vez un desplazamiento relativo de las bandas próximas de modo sensiblemente paralelo a ellas mismas.
