Abstract
Multi-panel metálico y magnetorreológico, que se constituye en una estructura sándwich que consta de un núcleo (2) que consta de una resina viscoelástica (2) de naturaleza adhesiva, en la que se encuentran distribuidas uniformemente de forma isótropa o anisótropa con una proporción en volumen superior al 5%; y partículas magnetorreológicas de material ferromagnético y con tamaños comprendidos entre 10nm y 10μ, estando dispuesto dicho núcleo (1) entre una primera piel (11) de naturaleza metálica no magnética y una segunda piel (12) de naturaleza metálica no magnética igual o diferente a la primera piel. La relación del espesor (Hn) del núcleo respecto a cualquiera de los espesores (H1), (H2) de las pieles primera (11) y segunda (12) es inferior a 0,1 y superior a 0,01.
Description
Objeto de la invención
El objeto del invento es un panel metálico con estructura de sándwich magnetorreológico (SEMR) capaz de una alta amortiguación acústica y vibracional y con aplicaciones estructurales en muy diversos sectores, tales como ascensores, automóviles, aviación, electrodomésticos, construcción, etc., etc.
El control de las vibraciones estructurales de los sistemas mecánicos es un aspecto fundamental para garantizar su correcto funcionamiento y su duración. Las vibraciones estructurales son fuente de ruido y de fallos asociados a la fatiga mecánica a la que se ven sometidos los diferentes componentes del sistema. Para controlar las vibraciones indeseadas y/o el ruido, se emplean técnicas de amortiguamiento que consisten en configuraciones de elementos mecánicos o de materiales diseñados para disipar la energía mecánica.
Los materiales magnetorreológicos son materiales inteligentes que presentan un efecto MR bajo un campo magnético. El efecto MR consiste en la modificación de las propiedades reológicas del material de forma instantánea y reversible al aplicar un campo magnético externo. Los materiales MR se componen de partículas magnéticas de tamaño micrométrico suspendidas en una matriz no magnetizable. Desde que Rabinow en 1948 descubrió los materiales MR, estos han evolucionado y hoy en día se clasifican en fluidos MR (FMR), geles MR y elastómeros MR (EMR). El material MR más común es el FMR, pero, estos presentan ciertos inconvenientes en comparación con los EMR. La ventaja más obvia de los EMRs es que estos tienen un efecto MR estable ya que las partículas magnéticas no sedimentan con el tiempo. Además, mantienen su forma geométrica incluso al aplicar bajos campos por lo que no presentan problemas de sellado al fabricar estructuras sándwich. Así pues, los EMRs son una buena opción para fabricar sándwiches con núcleo magnetorreológico.
Las estructuras sándwich con núcleo magnetorreológico (SEMR) pueden controlar y disipar las vibraciones en un amplio rango de frecuencias de excitación y temperatura, variando la rigidez y el amortiguamiento de la estructura en respuesta a la intensidad del campo magnético aplicado. Las aplicaciones de estos sándwich adaptables son múltiples debido a sus ventajas como ligereza, rigidez, resistencia y sobre todo por la capacidad de modificar sus propiedades dinámicas según las necesidades requeridas.
Los sándwiches de elastómero magnetorreológico (SEMR), ya conocidos, se componen por pieles de aluminio debido a su bajo amortiguamiento y a su alta rigidez comparada con los EMRs. Además, la permeabilidad magnética relativa del aluminio es casi nula, por lo que no afecta a la distribución e intensidad del campo magnético.
El núcleo de los SEMRs se compone principalmente por una matriz polimérica y partículas magnéticas. La matriz utilizada por los diferentes autores para fabricar el EMR son, la silicona Selleys Pty.Limited con el fluido Poly dimethylsiloxane, el caucho de silicona Liyang Silicone Rubber, el polímero inórganico Bentonite Clay y aceite sintético y la silicona Elastosil M4644. Como partículas magnéticas la más utilizada es la de carbonyl iron (C5FeO5), con un diámetro superior a 3 µm y en una proporción de 25-30% en volumen del EMR.
Para la unión de la matriz polimérica a las pieles, se utiliza un adhesivo.
En los sándwich SEMR conocidos la relación del espesor de la piel respecto al espesor del núcleo varía entre el 1,1% y el 20%, es decir, que el núcleo es siempre mucho más grueso que las pieles.
Esta configuración comporta varios problemas.
Los SEMR conocidos son productos muy caros.
También presentan el problema de ser excesivamente gruesos, lo que dificulta su aplicación precisamente en las estructuras que por su alto valor añadido, como en la aviación o automoción, sería muy deseable su utilización.
En estructuras que requieren un plegado del SEMR de más de 90º hemos comprobado la tendencia a despegarse, por el excesivo grosor del sándwich.
La necesidad del adhesivo, para unir el núcleo con las pieles, tiene como consecuencia una elaboración de SEMR más compleja y en consecuencia más cara.
Estos y otros problemas son solucionados por el SEMR objeto del invento.
El panel objeto del invento supera estos problemas al constituirse en una estructura sándwich que se caracteriza porque consta de un núcleo que, a su vez, consta de una resina viscoelástica de naturaleza adhesiva, en la que se encuentran distribuidas uniformemente de forma isótropa o
anisótropa con una proporción en volumen superior al 5%; partículas magnetorreológicas de material ferromagnético con tamaños comprendidos entre 10nm y 10µ; estando dispuesto dicho núcleo entre una primera piel de naturaleza metálica no magnética y una segunda piel de naturaleza metálica no magnética igual o diferente a la primera piel.
También se caracteriza porque la relación del espesor del núcleo respecto a cualquiera de los espesores de las pieles primera y segunda es inferior a 0,1 y superior a 0,01 : 0,01 ≤ ó ≤0,1.
Otras configuraciones y ventajas de la invención se pueden deducir a partir de la descripción siguiente, y de las reivindicaciones dependientes.
Para comprender mejor el objeto de la invención, se representa en las figuras adjuntas una forma preferente de realización, susceptible de cambios accesorios que no desvirtúen su fundamento. En este caso:
La figura 1 es una representación esquemática de un sándwich magnetorreológico (SEMR) conocido.
La figura 2 es una representación esquemática de una realización práctica del sándwich magnetoreológico (SEMR) objeto del invento.
Se describe a continuación un ejemplo de realización práctica, no limitativa, del presente invento. No se descartan en absoluto otros modos de realización en los que se introduzcan cambios accesorios que no desvirtúen su fundamento.
En la figura 1 se aprecia la constitución de un SEMR que consta de un núcleo (2’) de matriz polimérica en el que se encuentran distribuidas partículas magnéticas de carbonyl iron de tamaño superior a 3 µm y de forma esférica.
Consta también de dos pieles (1’1), (1’2) del mismo material metálico, aluminio o acero no magnético, es decir, las dos son de aluminio o las dos son de acero no magnético.
Para unir el núcleo (2’) a las pieles (11), (1’2) se utiliza un adhesivo (3).
El espesor del núcleo (H’4) es mucho mayor que el espesor de las pieles (H’1) (H’2), algunos

En la figura 2 se aprecia que en la constitución del SEMR, objeto del invento, ha desaparecido el adhesivo (3). El núcleo (2) es una resina viscoelástica, preferentemente sensible a la presión (PSA), por ejemplo, de naturaleza poliéster, acrílica, poliuretánica, etc., de modo que sus inherentes propiedades viscosas sirven para su adhesión directa a las pieles (11), (12).
5 En el núcleo (2) se encuentran distribuidas uniformemente de forma isótropa o anisótropa, partículas magnetorreológicas de material ferromagnético, preferentemente de pentacorbonilo de hierro (C5FeO5) pero pudiera ser se níquel, cobalto, etc.
Se pueden utilizar partículas magnetorreológicas (magnetizables) de diferentes diámetros (Ø) entre 10nm y 10µ, pero preferentemente se utilizan partículas esféricas de diámetro (Ø) inferior a
10 1,3µm: Ø 1,3µm, lo que supone un diámetro inferior a la mitad de las partículas actualmente usadas en los sándwich conocidos.
La concentración de partículas magnetorreológicas respecto al conjunto del núcleo (2) puede variar del 5% al 25%, pero preferentemente, por los resultados obtenidos en laboratorio, la concentración está entre 10% y el 20%, siendo excesivamente débil el efecto magnetorreológico
15 por debajo del 5%.
Las pieles (11), (12) pueden ser del mismo o diferente metal, pero siempre el/los metal/es deben ser no magnéticos, por ejemplo, cobre, zinc, aluminio, acero no magnético, como el acero inoxidable no ferrítico o, en especial, el acero inoxidable austenítico.
Hemos comprobado en laboratorio que se obtienen buenos resultados utilizando una piel de
20 aluminio y otra de acero, posiblemente porque al tener dichos metales diferente módulo de elasticidad originan un mayor amortiguamiento de las vibraciones cuando el núcleo MR trabaja entre dos pieles asimétricas.
Es esencial en el objeto del invento la relación de espesores de las pieles (H1), (H2) respecto al espesor del núcleo (Hn) ya que eso es lo que posibilita su aplicación en las estructuras de
25 aviones o de automóviles.
Trabajando con pieles (11), (12) de espesores (H1), (H2) similares a los espesores (H’1), (H’2) utilizados en el arte conocido en el invento, se utiliza espesores de núcleo (Hn) muy inferiores a los espesores de núcleo (H’n) conocido

Los espesores del núcleo varían entre 0,02 mm y 0,01 mm, con un espesor de piel de 0,25 mm; 5 y entre 0,04 mm y 0,01 mm, con un espesor de piel de 0,5 mm.
La unión pieles-núcleo se efectúa mediante el proceso continuo de coil coating (recubrimiento en bobina), aplicándose el adhesivo mediante rodillos.
Para obtener el factor de pérdida de cada modo se aplica el método HPB Half-Power Bandwith. Este método consiste en que en cada frecuencia de resonancia fn se calcula a que frecuencias 10 cae el módulo de transmisibilidad 3,01db y se determina Δfn. Con los datos experimentales obtenidos de fn y Δfn de cada modo se obtiene el factor de pérdida.

En el análisis de la primera frecuencia para una frecuencia aplicada entre 10 y 50 Hz se aprecia que el factor de pérdida de sándwich puede aumentar en un 30% al aplicar campo magnético respecto al mismo sándwich con núcleo no MR.
De los resultados cabe destacar que el campo magnético modifica la rigidez y el
10 amortiguamiento de todos los sándwich analizados. La estructura pierde rigidez a bajas frecuencias y en general aumenta el amortiguamiento especialmente en el sándwich con pieles de aluminio y de acero.
Podrán ser variables los materiales, dimensiones, proporciones y, en general, aquellos otros detalles accesorios o secundarios que no alteren, cambien o modifiquen la esencialidad
15 propuesta.
Los términos en que queda redactada esta memoria son ciertos y fiel reflejo del objeto descrito, debiéndose tomar en su sentido más amplio y nunca en forma limitativa.
Claims (5)
- REIVINDICACIONES1.-Multi-panel metálico y magnetorreológico, caracterizado porque se constituye en una estructura sándwich que consta dea) un núcleo (2) que consta de5 a1) una resina viscoelástica (2) de naturaleza adhesiva, en la que se encuentran distribuidas uniformemente de forma isótropa o anisótropa con una proporción en volumen superior al 5%a2) partículas magnetorreológicas de material ferromagnético y con tamaños comprendidos entre 10nm y 10µ, estando dispuesto dicho núcleo (1) entre10 b) una primera piel (11) de naturaleza metálica no magnética y una segunda piel (12) de naturaleza metálica no magnética igual o diferente a la primera piel;y porquec) la relación del espesor (Hn) del núcleo respecto a cualquiera de los espesores (H1), (H2) de las pieles primera (11) y segunda (12) es inferior a 0,1 y superior a 0,0115 0,01 ≤ ≤0,1ó
- 2.-Multi-panel metálico y magnetorreológico, según reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la primera y segunda piel (11), (12) son de aluminio.
- 3.-Multi-panel metálico y magnetorreológico, según reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la primera y segunda piel (11), (12) son de acero inoxidable no ferrítico.20 4.-Multi-panel metálico y magnetorreológico, según reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la primera piel (11) es de aluminio y la segunda piel (12) es de acero inoxidable no ferrítico.
- 5.-Multi-panel metálico y magnetorreológico, según una de las reivindicaciones 2, 3 ó 4, caracterizado porque el espesor (H1) de la primera piel (11) es igual que el espesor (H2) de la segunda piel (12).25 6.-Multi-panel metálico y magnetorreológico, según reivindicaciones 2, 3 ó 4, caracterizado porque el espesor (H1) de la primera piel (11) es diferente del espesor (H2) de la segunda piel (12).
- 7.-Multi-panel metálico y magnetorreológico, según reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la resina viscoelástica (2) es de base poliéster y/o acrílico y/o poliuretano.
