Un metodo para la formacion de una pelicula protectora que comprende una espinela de formula MnxCoyO4-, donde (x+y) >= 3, sobre un sustrato metalico, caracterizado por que comprende las etapas de: a) deposicion sobre el sustrato de manganeso y cobalto en forma de especies metalicas en una relacion molar de x/y correspondiente a la formula anterior mediante coevaporacion termica y b) oxidacion de las especies metalicas in situ para formar la espinela
