Abstract

Empalme rápido de tubos, caracterizado por el hecho de constar de un manguito de unión roscado en sentido contrario en sus dos mitades y con arandela de tope central en cuyas bocas se encajan las dos testas de los tubos a empalmar después de haber enhebrado en cada cuerpo la tuerca de apriete atornillable en cada parte del manguito de unión provista de fondo cónico o apestañado, una arandela-garra cuyas colas de agarre se enfrentan con el fondo cónico o apestañado de la tuerca de apriete y la junta de estanqueidad cuyo diámetro se corresponde con el brocal del extremo del manguito correspondiente, de tal forma que al atornillar la tuerca de apriete en la parte del manguito correspondiente el avance micrométrico obliga a un ajuste progresivo de las colas de la arandela en el fondo cónico o apestañado de la tuerca, deformándose y mordiendo cada vez más la superficie del extremo del tubo con apriete circunferencial y cerrándose sobre la superficie hasta clavarse en la materia impidiendo su deslizamiento o arranque involuntario creando una unión indivisible.
