Abstract

Procedimiento para la determinación secuencial de nitrito y nitrato. Comprende una detección inicial de NO{Sub,2} con reactivo de Griess, seguida por la reducción del NO3 a NO2 con VCl3 y detección posterior del NO2 producido con el exceso de reactivo de Griess presente. Su límite de detección es < 0.05 μM y proporciona alta precisión en la determinación de NO2 y NO3 para muestras donde la concentración sumada de ambos compuestos sea inferior a 30 μM. Permite el análisis rápido de series grandes de muestras usando volúmenes pequeños, al reducir a la mitad la cantidad de muestra y de reactivo de Griess utilizados. Adicionalmente permite diseñar un sistema de análisis mediante inyección de flujo para medir nitrito y nitrato en la misma muestra y el mismo canal, utilizando así la mitad de la cantidad de muestra y reactivo de Griess que emplean los métodos tradicionalmente empleados.
