Abstract
La invención se refiere a un sistema y método relacionado para controlar una lámpara de descarga de alta intensidad que comprende suministrar una señal desde una cascada de conmutadores electrónicos a un circuito de balasto y a una lámpara. El circuito de balasto incluye un primer condensador y un circuito resonante que comprende a su vez una primera inductancia y un segundo condensador. El sistema comprende una primera unidad de control conectada a la cascada de conmutadores que genera una primera señal de control de frecuencia variable y ciclo de trabajo constante para controlar la cascada de conmutadores, así como una segunda unidad de control conectada a la primera unidad de control y que genera una segunda señal de control de frecuencia constante y ciclo de trabajo variable para controlar la primera unidad de control. El balasto incluye además una segunda inductancia conectada en la salida de la lámpara.
