Abstract
Procedimiento para preparación de espejos inalterables por la intemperie, agua, humedad o agentes atmosféricos y químicos, caracterizado porque sobre el metal especular del espejo, previamente limpio con alcohol empleando un pincel o muñequilla de algodón, se aplica una masa uniforme obtenida con parafina, cera de abejas, carnauba y/o cera mineral fundidas en proporciones equivalentes y a temperaturas comprendidas entre 50º y 100º C, para añadirle luego un colorante. La mezcla se extiende con una brocha o mediante pistola si se tarta de una gran superficie agregándole durante esta fase un disolvente a base de sulfuro de carbono, éter y/o benceno; al solidificarse esta capa y una vez homogeneizada la misma, se aplica sobre ella una emulsión de goma o cola, donde se adherirá posteriormente una lámina de papel, plástico o piel, para recubrir la superficie tratada.
