In these embodiments, insufficient stability is particularly disadvantageous for glass containers, which is caused in particular by the fastener that can only be fixed in a single layer or insufficiently in the folding box.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a box in the form of a single piece of cardboard or other material, the box being able to hold stably and effectively protect a product to be packaged, in particular in the form of a pan, inside the box . An additional objective is to provide an alternative folding box for storing and transporting pan-shaped containers. In this regard, the objective is in particular that these folding boxes can be punched and folded easily without additional effort in the folding box factory.

The objectives are achieved by a folding box with a reinforced dust protection flap area according to claim 1.

The folding box according to the invention for packing a product comprises four side walls that form the box body, a front side wall, a rear side wall, a right side wall and a left side wall as well as at least one articulated joint flap on the left side wall for joining with the rear side wall.
