Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un plaguicida con acción insecticida, acaricida y nematicida, obtenido a partir de extractos vegetales que presentan importantes interacciones sinérgicas en su actividad plaguicida, cuyas características principales son: un control eficiente para insectos, ácaros y nemátodos; baja toxicidad para los mamíferos y baja persistencia en el medio ambiente. Este plaguicida consiste en una composición a base de extractos vegetales, la cual se caracteriza por estar constituida por: Alcaloides isoquinolínicos y sus derivados 0.1 - 20% Flavonoides y sus derivados glicosilados 0.001 - 10% Por tanto el alcance de la invención se ciñe de manera general a los plaguicidas orgánicos y en particular a la obtención de un plaguicida orgánico que contiene como ingredientes activos una mezcla de alcaloides isoquinolínicos y flavonoides para el uso de los mismos para el control de plagas agrícolas.

estrategia netamente química donde se buscó modificar las estructuras de los productos naturales para la obtención de compuestos con una mejor actividad plaguicida y menor toxicidad para los mamíferos, dando origen a los piretroides. Se renovó también de manera importante el interés por el desarrollo de productos de origen vegetal, y surgió la ecología química, donde químicos, bioquímicos, toxicólogos y especialistas en la protección vegetal unieron esfuerzos en la investigación de productos naturales de origen botánico para el control de plagas con un mínimo de problemas ambientales, lo que dio la pauta a la segunda generación de plaguicidas botánicos.
El estudio más detallado de las relaciones planta insecto, permitió conocer que la evolución ha dotado a las plantas de mediadores químicos implicados en las comunicación entre especies, conocidos como compuestos semioquímicos, que son considerados compuestos no nutritivos producidos por un organismo que afectan al comportamiento o la biología de individuos de la misma especie (feromonas) o de especies diferentes (moléculas aleloquímicas), estas últimas presentan una serie de efectos frente a los insectos perjudiciales, y se clasifican según su modo de acción en sustancias defensivas, tóxicas, repelentes o disuatorias, antifagoestimulantes o inhibidoras de la digestión, atrayentes, etc., y de acuerdo a su composición química e intensidad revelan información acerca del estatus fisiológico de la planta y del estrés en el que se encuentran y modifican el comportamiento o la biología de un organismo de otra especie; estas moléculas generalmente actúan en dosis bajas y tienen una acción específica y son poco tóxicos para los mamíferos.
Esta segunda generación de plaguicidas botánicos, permitió a los científicos occidentales redescubrir el neem, que fue utilizado en la India desde tiempos ancestrales. De las semillas del árbol del neem (Azadirachta indica, Meliaceae) pueden obtenerse dos tipos de plaguicidas botánicos, el aceite del Neem (aceite esencial) y la azaridiractina (10-25%), un limonoide del tipo meliacina.Los limonoides se han aislado principalmente de las familias Meliaceae (meliacinas) y Rutacea (limonoides de cítricos), químicamente son triterpenos modificados o tetranortriterpenoides, altamente oxigenados, que derivan del precursor 4,4,8trimetil-17-furanosilesteroide. Los limonoides del tipo meliacina son estructuralmente más complejos que los limonoides de los cítricos y tienen un mayor grado de oxidación.La azadiractina ejerce su acción plaguicida bloqueando la síntesis y la liberación de hormonas durante la muda (ecdisis) en los insectos inmaduros, que trae como consecuencia la inhibición de su crecimiento y desarrollo, y en los insectos adultos mediante un mecanismo similar, ocasiona la esterilidad. La azadiractina es además un potente antialimentario.
