Abstract

Reactor nuclear de reflector fundido.#Reactor lateralmente rodeado por un material reflector neutrónico contenido en recipientes planos o en coronas cilíndricas, siendo el material reflector muy transparente a los neutrones pero de alta tasa de retrodispersión neutrónica, y con temperatura de fusión más baja que la de la envoltura de las placas; estando el material reflector en estado líquido durante el funcionamiento del reactor, pudiendo ser evacuado súbitamente si se traspasa alguna señal de alarma.
