Abstract

Caja de vapor perfeccionada para calentar una hoja de papel durante su proceso de fabricación, del tipo que comprende un chasis tubular mecano-soldado en acero inoxidable, recubierto interior y exteriormente de chapas de acero inoxidable entre las cuales existe fibra de vidrio u otro material aislante de calor, y cuyo chasis comprende un colector central de distribución de vapor situado en la parte superior y provisto dicho colector de perforaciones para la salida de vapor, caracterizada esencialmente porque el sector del colector de vapor provisto de perforaciones se encuentra recubierto por un tipo de esponja metálica inoxidable, mantenida en posición y comprimida contra el colector merced a una tela alambrada metálica, lo que proporciona una difusión uniforme del vapor en toda la superficie cubierta por la caja; y porque del referido colector parten dos ramificaciones o tubos que se extienden simétricamente en los laterales inferiores de la caja y en sentido longitudinal, con objeto de mantener en dicha zona de la caja una temperatura que evite condensaciones que perjudicarían a la hoja de papel en formación.
