Dispositivo de mando automático de una torreta portaútiles en tornos y similares, el cual dispositivo comporta un husillo vertical de accionamiento que pueda conferir a la torreta un movimiento de elevación, un movimiento de descenso, y un movimiento de rotación que se extiende hasta una posición inmediatamente aguas arriba y aguas abajo de la estación seleccionada; con una base que presenta una serie de entalladuras equidistantes entre sí, en un número igual al de las estaciones que se trata de programar en forma ya conocida; caracterizado porque se ha previsto un sólo trinquete (SA) que presenta sus extremidades (EM-em) perfiladas según un plano inclinado por uno solamente de sus lados y las cuales son simétricas especularmente; porque la extremidad inferior (EM) de este trinquete (SA) coopera con una entalladura (TA...), de perfil complementario, mecanizada en la base (BA); y porque la extremidad superior (em) del citado trinquete coopera con una entalla (ta), de perfil complementario yespecular con respecto a la citada entalladura (TA...) previamente aludida, donde esta entalla (ta) está mecanizada en el husillo vertical de accionamiento y ejerce, así como tope de arrastre del propio cuerpo (TO) de la torreta.
