Abstract

La lubricación de motores marinos de pistón tubular, cuando el motor es alimentado con combustible pesado, es efectuada con una composición de NBT en el intervalo de 20 a 60 que comprende una cantidad principal de un aceite de viscosidad lubricante que contiene el 50% en masa o más de un material base del Grupo 1, y cantidades menores respectivas de un detergente de alquil salicilato de calcio de metal sobrebasificado que proporciona de 40 a 90 mmol de alquil salicilato de calcio por kg de la composición, y de 0,1 a 10% en masa, en base a la masa de la composición, de un fenol alquil sustituido, lineal, soluble en aceite. Se previene o elimina la precipitación de asfalteno en el lubricante, causada por la presencia de combustible pesado contaminante.
