Description

The invention relates to a smoke detection device according to the general terms of claim 1.

Estado de la técnica State of the art

With respect to the state of the art, reference is made here to EP1783 712 A1 and EP 1783713 A1, each of which has a fire detector that detects smoke, within an enclosure, by means of light rays. Reference is also made to EP 1191496 A1, in which a smoke detector is presented by means of scattered light, and GB 2410085 A, in which another fire detector is presented. Finally, reference is also made to DE 10353836 A1, which has a fire detector according to the state of the art. Smoke detectors are already known and are in the market in multiple forms and executions. Most known smoke detectors operate with a so-called scattered light procedure, which requires that the smoke come into contact with the sensor. Consequently, smoke detectors have to protrude from the ceiling, so that they are exposed to attacks from outside, which can limit their operation or even destroy them. EP 1224641 B1 describes a smoke detector that can be installed flush with the ceiling and which is able to identify by self-control that the plate covering it is dirty. However, this plate is not prepared to withstand attacks, so that in this case there is also the possibility of a limitation of the operation or destruction of the smoke detector.

The objective of the present invention is to prevent the destruction of the smoke detector, especially because of vandalism. At the same time, the operation of the smoke detector and its handling should not be limited.

The achievement of this objective implies that the indicative part of claim 1 is met. This means that the smoke detector itself is protected against acts of vandalism by a cover, whereby said smoke detector is specially designed for buildings that may be potentially exposed to acts of vandalism. In this sense, prisons or colleges are considered above all, since in buildings of this type the danger of vandalism is higher according to previous experiences. As a cover, first of all a steel plate is offered in which holes are provided that allow radiation to pass through. As a work material, the steel has very good impact resistance and is very resistant to shocks, especially if they are directed from below to the ceiling, since in this case the force of the blow is limited. It is also important that the roof is installed in such a way that it is at the same level as the roof. This installation flush with the ceiling means that no attack can come from the sides. In this case it is not possible to remove the roof cover by leveraging it with a tool without having to destroy the roof itself. Therefore, the attack on the detector can only be carried out from below and thus is directed against the flat side of the cover, which resists the attack. With respect to the execution and the shape of this cover there are no limits to the invention. That is why the cover can be made rounded, angular, oval or similar. Also in the case of the device according to the invention, the cover plate, known from EP 1 224 641 B1, is placed between the cover and the emitter or the receiver. This facilitates the mounting of the smoke detector with the cover and also prevents it from penetrating with a screwdriver through the holes and thus causing damage to the emitter and / or the receiver.

In turn, the hole 5 allows the entry of a radiation reflected towards the receiver described above into the housing 1, which will be reflected especially by the smoke inside an enclosure. According to the invention, the cover 3 consists of a shock-resistant material, especially steel. However, it is also possible to use another corresponding material, such as ceramic. Plate thickness

The operation of the present invention is as follows: The housing 1, in which all the elements of the smoke detector described above are integrated, will be connected to the transparent cover disk 2. This unit is then placed on top of the cover 3 and is centered in such a way that the radiation of the emitter can be projected towards an enclosure with the proper or desired angle to

Similarly, the receiver fits inside the housing so that it can receive radiation reflected inside an enclosure. The entire unit is then installed in a cover or the like, such that cover 3 ends flush with the ceiling. In this way it is practically impossible to destroy the smoke detector, so that a smoke detector of this type can find application in areas where there is danger of vandalism, as is the case
