On the other hand, in the Utility Model 200501233 a siphon for shower tray and bathtub of complex structure is described, which is intended exclusively for application to shower devices, incorporating a side conduit in communication with the bath overflow to allow its application in bathtubs. In addition, this siphon also has the disadvantage that the evacuation is slow which causes it to accumulate or stop water in the bathtub.

The problems and inconveniences referred to are generally applicable to all currently existing siphons, and it can be said that all of them present the common problem or inconvenience referred to and in the case of being applied to bathtubs they do not have a trimming grid to be able to attach the corresponding plug, that is to say, they do not allow the authorization of the plug and trim grid, to which we must add the problem that supposes that in certain situations the assembly is very complex since it does not have enough outlets in the body of the siphon, for its connection to the corresponding evacuation ducts. Description of the invention

The siphon for bathtubs object of the invention has special characteristics, so that being based on that type of siphon that includes a main body with the drain outlet, an inner vessel, a tubular body opened at both ends and housed in the vessel referred to, and a support neck with thread inside the main body of the siphon, which serves as a support and assembly for the vessel and for the tube, presents a series of novelty characteristics that correspond to the following:

The first characteristic of novelty is that the main body of the siphon is divided into two parts, an upper one on which the support neck threads and a lower one corresponding to the rest of the body. Both parts can be locked together by an external ring.

In addition, the support neck is affected by an outer annular channel in which projections provided in the main body fit, blocking the latter with respect to the support neck but allowing the rotation thereof.

Another characteristic of novelty is that the tube that is located inside the vessel of the siphon assembly, has a length whose lower end is above the axis corresponding to the exit of the main body of the siphon, thus favoring the evacuation of water.

Another characteristic of novelty is that the upper part of the said tube has a flared and arcuate profile mouthpiece, allowing a correct coupling of the corresponding cap, with the special feature that the height of the threaded neck is such that once the cap is placed on the mouthpiece of the aforementioned tube, it is possible to mount or attach a trim cover to allow the indistinct use of this and the cap itself, and whose trim cover has pivots in its lower face that fit into housings established for this purpose in anchoring projections provided at the top of the support neck itself to the main body of the siphon.

The cap and the embellishing cap can be integral and form a single assembly or body.

Another characteristic of novelty is that the main body of the siphon, instead of presenting the classic drain outlet, is affected by four outlet necks perpendicular to each other in pairs, and logically projected radially around the main body of the siphon.

Based on said exit necks and the first two novelty characteristics referred to above, it is possible to mount the main body of the siphon more easily by directly concentrating the necessary evacuation connections or exit necks, and orienting at least one of said necks of Exit in the desired direction.

Both elements (plug 11 and trim cap 5) can be joined together and form a single body.

In order to prevent odors from the general pipe from reaching the corresponding overflow 19 of the bathtub, in accordance with the path 18 shown in Figure 1, it is provided that at the exit of the body 1 it is interspersed, between it and the overflow itself 19 , an auxiliary siphon 20, as shown in the schematic detail of Figure 4.

Finally, to say that the tube 4 has a length such that the lower end 12 of such tube 4 is at a level higher than the axis 13 of the necks 10 corresponding to the connections for the drains, which favors the evacuation of the water , that is to say, it gives the siphon assembly a greater evacuation capacity compared to conventional siphons in which the tube 4 reaches a point near the bottom of the vessel 8.

Claims (8)

1. Claim 1 refers to a siphon of the type that includes a main body, an inner vessel, an open tubular body and housed in said inner vessel and a threaded support neck on the main body, said main body being constituted by two lockable parts each other by means of an outer ring and by projections that allow its rotation with respect to the support neck to enable a multiposition of the exit necks. Document D01 is considered to be the closest state of the art since it describes a shower tray siphon consisting of a bowl (6) resting on the mouth (7) of the drain below which a gasket (8) is located and the main body (9) to which the support neck (6) is internally threaded and by an inner vessel (4) and a tubular receiver (3) through which the water is introduced after passing through an upper embellishing plate (1) resting on the mouth and coupled to the tubular receiver (3) by means of a centered screw (2). The only difference with claim 1 of the present invention is that it is not expressly specified that there is more than one exit neck, which is obvious to one skilled in the art in bathtubs with overflows and that the main body is constituted by two parts blocked by an outer ring, which does not imply an improved effect compared to the state of the art, it would be obvious to a person skilled in the art from the aforementioned document, so that claim 1 lacks inventive activity ( Art. 8.1 LP). Claim 5 refers to the siphon tube being located above the axis of the exit necks, which is not considered to have a surprising technical effect.
