Abstract

Un artículo absorbente desechable que comprende una hoja de respaldo impermeable a la humedad, un almohadillado absorbente de la humedad que se superpone a la hoja de respaldo y que comprende un velo de fibras celulósicas con tendido ligero contenidas dentro de una envuelta de papel de seda resistente en húmedo y una hoja superior permeable a la humedad que se superpone al almohadillado absorbente, caracterizado porque el almohadillado absorbente de la humedad está constituido principalmente por fibras de pulpa de madera de alto rendimiento rígidas y al menos una capa de papel de seda resistente en húmedo dispuesta dentro de la envuelta en un plano paralelo a la misma, y rodeada por ambos lados por las fibras de pulpa de madera, teniendo la capa o las capas un alargamiento máximo en seco, medido en el punto de ruptura, del 30%, presentando el almohadillado absorbente una densidad máxima en húmedo de aproximadamente 1 g/ml medida bajo una carga aplicada de 12, 4 g/cm2 con una carga de líquido del 300%, en peso del almohadillado absorbente, de una solución salina al 1%.
