This invention relates to labels for packaging in general, and in particular for food product containers, made of wood, cork, melamine, semi-finished MDF products and semi-finished products of agglomerated wood and / or plywood. It is known that current adhesive labels, intended for application in products in general and in packages of food products in particular, are generally made of paper and / or plastic and the like, and the distinction between one product and the other can be detected only from the different writings, from the quality data and / or from the graphic images reproduced therein.

Such current configurations, even in their distinctive function of the products contained in the packages, cannot at all accurately and more effectively qualify the intrinsic quality of the products contained and sealed, but can only offer a description and / or an image outside more or less significant of them to the buyers, based on the graphics adopted and the written information, leaving in some cases an option to the buyer based only on some individual experience that has already had, in the recommendations of the commercial agents, or in the simple casual sensation, if the knowledge in this respect is limited.

The object of the invention is to offer better definitions of the quality of packaged products, especially food products, by means of wooden labels or imitating wood characterized according to claim 1. Additional and advantageous features are the object of the dependent claims. The advantages achieved with this invention consist essentially in that the use of wood, cork, melamine, MDF, chipboard or plywood labels is aimed at highlighting specially packaged products, especially as regards superior quality food products, such as: expensive quality wines with optional limited production, special spirits, expensive and aged high-grade alcoholic beverages, oils made from selected olives, con fi gures, jams and preserves of refined selection, pastes made with selected qualities of cereals, typical local sweets, etc. for which a higher image cost, in any case limited, offers buyers a clear awareness that the selection oriented to products labeled in this way appears more attractive and with greater guarantee.

The invention is described in detail according to the embodiments thereof, provided by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

e) agglomerated wood veneers obtained from semi-finished products of wood pieces mixed with synthetic resin binders, and pressed,

f) sheets of plywood material composed of cut sheets of artificially reconstructed wood,

g) veneers of similar wood materials, corresponding or combined, related to those listed in the preceding articles.

The woods used can be of different types, traditional or expensive, simple or compound.

In any case, the labels made with the products listed above are generally of limited thickness (for example approximately 0.1 mm) to ensure simple screen printing treatments or similar processes of embossing in black and white or color images Badges of usual or special type.
