Abstract
Proceso para la producción de titanio a partir
de la ilmenita con recuperación de los reactivos empleados en el
proceso.
En reactor (1) reacciona ilmenita -FeTiO_{3}-,
de molino (3) con ácido clorhídrico -HCl, de depósito (5). Reacción
genera dióxido de titanio -TiO_{2}- que es tratado en reactor (2)
con gas de síntesis de depósito (6) y en reacción de reducción, se
produce titanio -Ti- metal.
El hidrógeno -H_{2}- y dióxido de carbono
-CO_{2}-, son almacenados en depósito (8).
La disolución cloruro férrico -FeCl_{3}-
trasvasada depósito (9), se mezcla con amoniaco -NH_{3}- depósito
(10); reacción genera hidróxido férrico -Fe(OH)_{3},
que decanta y almacena depósito (11).
Disolución resulta cloruro amónico -NH_{4}Cl-
que trasvasamos a depósito (12) para cristalizar en cristalizador
por nebulización (13); cristalizado pasa a instalación
descomposición térmica (14); por calor, descompone cloruro amónico
-NH_{4}Cl- en ácido clorhídrico -HCl- y amoniaco -NH_{3}-,
trasladándose ambos productos a depósitos (5) y (10).
