Description
Conector eléctrico.
Esta invención refiere a conectores eléctricos,
y más concretamente a conectores de seguridad de alta potencia.
Los terminales de los conectores eléctricos de
alta cornete son típicamente mucho más largos que los de los
conectores eléctricos domésticos, y puede ser posible que una
persona inserte un dedo u otro objeto dentro de la abertura de
receptáculo y toque los componentes eléctricamente vivos dentro del
receptáculo.
Existen varios diseños de conector eléctrico
que proporcionan una característica de seguridad para reducir el
riesgo de que los contactos vivos sean accesibles cuando el
conectador está desconectado.
El documento US 6 309 231 expone un conector
eléctrico en el cual las superficies de acoplamiento de los
conectores macho y hembra presenten sólo componentes aislantes para
el usuario. Además, para separar las partes macho y hembra del
conector, se debe utilizar una herramienta para aflojar el pasador
de liberación. Esto proporciona la ventaja de que no es fácil que
se consiga la liberación accidental del acoplamiento.
Para algunas aplicaciones, la necesidad de una
herramienta de liberación adicional es apropiada, y se puede
requerir para aislamiento u otros fines. Para otras aplicaciones, la
necesidad de una herramienta de liberación puede no ser apropiada
o requerida, pero las otras ventajas del conector todavía merecen la
pena Cuando está dispuesta una herramienta de liberación, a menudo
se perderá y los usuarios todavía intentarán separar la conexión
utilizando otros instrumentos o utilizando sus uñas.
Existe por tanto la necesidad de un mecanismo de
liberación mejorado en este tipo de conectores eléctricos.
El documento 3 500 291 expone un acoplamiento de
bayoneta con un pasador de bloqueo, y que tiene un mecanismo de
deslizamiento para aflojar el pasador de bloqueo.
De acuerdo con la invención, se proporciona un
conector eléctrico como el reivindicado en la reivindicación 1.
El diseño de la invención mantiene un mecanismo
de bloqueo par evitar el desacoplamiento accidental de la conexión
de bayoneta, pero hace que el proceso de desacoplamiento sea más
sencillo, realizando una operación de deslizamiento y giro en lugar
de necesitar una herramienta adicional específica.
La parte macho preferiblemente tiene una parte
de conexión que comprende un manguito aislante exterior y un
manguito aislante interior, y en el que una cubierta aislante
cargada por muelle está montada dentro del manguito interior, que
está cargado por el muelle para cerrar sustancialmente el extremo de
entrada del manguito exterior.
Los contactos están, de este modo, dentro del
manguito, debajo del la cubierta, de manera que ningún contacto
vivo está expuesto cuando el conectador esta separado. El manguito
interno define el contacto de conectador eléctrico de la parte
macho.
El manguito aislante exterior está
preferiblemente provisto de al menos un canal para definir el
acoplamiento de bayoneta.
La parte hembra preferiblemente comprende un
segundo manguito aislante exterior y un pasador de conector alojado
dentro del manguito aislante. Este recibe la parte de conexión de la
parte macho, y el pasador de conector actúa para aflojar la
cubierta aislante. Un extremo del pasador de conector, próximo al
extremo abierto del segundo manguito aislante exterior, está
formado a partir de un aislante, de manera que de nuevo no están
expuestos ningún contacto vivo por la parte hembra desconectada.
El pasador de conector también puede comprender
un contacto que está cargado por muelle radicalmente hacia fuera.
Este presiona contra el manguito interior de la parte macho para
definir una conexión eléctrica de alta corriente. La superficie
interna del segundo manguito aislante exterior preferiblemente
comprender al menos un saliente para definir el acoplamiento de
bayoneta, en combinación con el canal de la parte macho.
El manguito puede estar conectado de manera
liberable a la parte que tiene el rebaje, de manera que el conector
puede estar configurado o bien como un componente que necesita una
herramienta de liberación o bien como uno en el cual la liberación
es simplificada.
Un acoplamiento puede estar dispuesto entre el
manguito y la parte que tiene el rebaje, comprendiendo el
acoplamiento una orejeta en uno de los manguitos y la parte y el
canal cerrado para recibir la orejeta en el otro de los manguitos y
la parte. De esta manera, el manguito permanece unido cuando las
partes de conector están separadas.
La invención será descrita con detalle con
referencia a los dibujos adjuntos, en los que:
la Figura 1 muestra un conector conocido en un
estado separado;
la Figura 2 muestra la parte hembra del conector
de la Figura 1 en sección transversal;
la Figura 3 muestra la parte macho del conector
de la Figura 1 es sección transversal;
la Figura 4 muestra el conector de la Figura 3
en un estado conectado;
la Figura 5 muestra el conector de la Figura 1
en un estado conectado en sección transversal;
la Figura 6 muestra un componente de la
invención para utilizar con el conector de las Figuras 1 a 5; y

componente de la Figura 6 en posición.
Antes de describir el conector mejorado de la
invención, se describirá primero el funcionamiento del conector del
documento US 6 309 231.
La Figura 1 muestra el conjunto de conector de
potencial del documento US 6 309 231, generalmente indicado con 10
en una posición no acoplada.
El conjunto 10 tiene un conector macho 12 y un
conector hembra 14. El conector macho 12 tiene un cuerpo 16 formado
a partir de un material eléctricamente aislante, tal como plástico.
El conector macho 12 tiene una parte macho cilíndrica 18, una brida
20 y una parte trasera 22. El conector macho está para la conexión a
una fuente de alto voltaje utilizando un conector roscado
convencional 24.
El conector macho tiene una cara extrema 26, y
un pasador aislante 28 sobresale ligeramente más allá de la cara
extrema 26. La parte macho 18 tiene dos ranuras 30, que son
utilizadas para definir el acoplamiento de tipo bayoneta con el
conector hembra 14.
El conector hembra 14 tiene un cuerpo cilíndrico
eléctricamente no conductor 40 que tiene una ranura 42 que se
extiende hacia dentro desde la cara extrema 44 del alojamiento 40.
El conector hembra 14 está también conectado a una fuente de
potencia eléctrica.
El pasador 45 sobresale desde una cara en el
extremo de la parte macho 18 y como se describirá más adelante,
esto proporciona un mecanismo de bloqueo de seguridad.
La Figura 2 muestra el conector hembra 14 en
sección transversal. El conector hembra aloja un conjunto de
contacto 50 que está enchufado en el cuerpo 40 utilizando un pasador
52 para evitar el movimiento relativo. Una parte delantera del
conjunto de contacto 50 incluye una banda de celosía 54. La banda de
celosía 54 es una banda de muelle de una única, dos o múltiples
celosías que dependiendo del voltaje aplicado. Más allá de la banda
de celosía 54 hay una pieza de extremo aislante 5, de manera que
todas las partes expuestas del conector hembra 14 son
aislantes.
La superficie interior del aligamiento 40 tiene
dos lengüetas 57, encajando cada una con la ranura 30 con forma de
acoplamiento de bayoneta. Como se muestra en la vista del extremo de
la Figura 2, las lengüetas 57 no son diametralmente opuestas, de
manera que hay sólo una con orientación angular relativa en la cual
se pueden unir los conectores macho y hembra.
La Figura 3 muestra el conector macho 12 en
sección transversal. El conector roscado 24 está también enchufado
al alojamiento 22 utilizando un pasador 60 para evitar el movimiento
relativo. El pasador 28 está cargado mediante un muelle de
compresión 62 a la posición sobresaliente mostrada, de manera que
todas las partes expuestas del conector macho son aislantes. El
pasador 28 tiene un escalón trasero 64 para limitar el movimiento
hacia atrás del pasador 28.
El pasador 28 cargado por muelle se desliza
hacia delante y hacia atrás dentro de la parte macho 18 para hacer
posible que la celosía 54 haga contacto eléctrico con el manguito
interno conductor 66 de la parte macho 12. De este modo, se
establece conexión eléctrica entre la celosía 54 y el manguito
interno 66, por medio de las bandas de muelle de celosía.
La Figura 4 muestra el acoplamiento conectado y
la Figura 5 muestra el acoplamiento conectador en sección
transversal.
Para encajar los conectores macho y hembra, las
lengüetas 57 están alineadas con las ranuras 30. La pieza de
extremo 56 se acopla con el pistón 28 que es descomprimido cuando
las partes macho y hembra se mueven juntas. Cuando está totalmente
acoplado, la cara extrema 44 del conector hembra entra en contacto
con el pasador 45. El pasador 45 está totalmente comprimido cuando
los conectores macho y hembra son empujados totalmente juntos. El
conector macho 12 es entonces hecho girar (en sentido de las agujas
del reloj) hasta que la ranura 42 alcanza el pasador que entonces
sobresale dentro de la ranura 42. Esto evita cualquier rotación de
las dos partes entre sí. La forma de la ranura 30, que tiene un
árbol y una cabeza, asegura que es esta orientación relativa, los
conectores macho y hembra no se pueden separar, ya que las lengüetas

Para liberar la conexión, el pasador puede ser
aflojado, y al mismo tiempo, las partes macho y hembra son giradas
una con relación a la otra para liberar el acoplamiento de
bayoneta.
El pasador está alojado en un pequeño recinto
definido por la ranura 42, de manera que este aflojamiento es
deliberado y no una operación sencilla. Una herramienta está
provista para la inserción en la ranura 42, y que tiene una anchura
para llenar la ranura, y por tanto aflojar el pasador, de manera que
las partes macho y hembra pueden girar y liberarse. Aunque esto
proporciona un nivel adicional de seguridad que puede ser requerido
o deseable, por ejemplo, so los conectores están en zonas públicas,
puede ser una molestia cuando no se requiere nivel de
seguridad.
El conector anterior se describe con más detalle
en el documento US 309 231, al que se hace referencia.
La invención proporciona una modificación en el
conector descrito anteriormente, que proporciona niveles de
seguridad similares pero sin la necesidad de herramientas
adicionales.
En una primera realización la invención
proporciona un componente extra que se puede añadir al diseño
descrito anteriormente para evitar la necesidad de una herramienta.
De este modo, el conector puede tener un diseño simple, y el
componente adicional es entonces opcional, de manera que el uso del
conector en algunas aplicaciones requerirá el uso de una
herramienta para desconectar las partes macho y hembra, mientras que
el uso del conector en otras aplicaciones, por ejemplo, en la que
no hay acceso público, no requiere el uso de la herramienta.
La Figura 6 muestra el componente adicional, que
comprende un manguito 70 que tiene una lengüeta 72 que sobresale
hacia dentro diseñada para fijarse dentro de la ranura 42.
En uso, el manguito 70 está fijado en el extremo
44 del conector hembra 14, con la lengüeta 72 deslizando dentro de
la ranura 42. El acoplamiento de la lengüeta 72 con la ranura 42
puede ser sólo acoplamiento entre el manguito y el conector hembra
14, de manera que se puede elegir si se utiliza o no el manguito 70
cuando se establece contacto eléctrico y dependiendo de los
requisitos y localización.
La Figura 7 muestra cómo la lengüeta 72 se
acopla con la ranura 42 del alojamiento 40, de manera que la ranura
limita el movimiento de deslizamiento y rotacional del manguito
70.
Para liberar el conector, se empuja el manguito
hacia el conector macho como se muestra mediante la flecha 74, y la
lengüeta 72 empuja el pasador 45 hacia dentro contra la fuerza del
muelle del pasador. Cuando el pesador está totalmente aflojado, los
conectores macho y hembra pueden girar para liberar el acoplamiento
de bayoneta.
En otra versión, el manguito está montado en el
alojamiento 40 con un acoplamiento además del acoplamiento de la
lengüeta 72 y la ranura 42. Por ejemplo la disposición de orejeta y
ranura entre el interior del manguito 70 y el exterior del
alojamiento 40 puede sujetar el alojamiento 40 y el manguito 70
juntos incluso cuando los conectores macho y hembra están
separados. Incluso con este acoplamiento adicional entre el manguito
y el alojamiento, el manguito se puede todavía retirar del
alojamiento aplicando suficiente fuerza, pero el acoplamiento
adicional es suficiente para que el manguito no se suelte cuando el
conector está desconectado.
Alternativamente, el manguito de deslizamiento
se puede montar aseguradamente sobre el alojamiento, de manera que
el conector es suministrado sólo en el formato en el que se va a
utilizar.
No se requiere disposición de carga para el
manguito, ya que la fuerza del muelle del pasador 45 se utiliza
para empujar el manguito alejándolo cuando los conectores macho y
hembra están unidos.
El conector proporcionado por la invención se
puede liberar más fácilmente y sin la necesidad de una herramienta
adicional. Sin embargo, la operación de liberación es todavía una
operación de dos etapas, de fuera axial y rotación simultáneas. La
invención también hace posible que sea conformado un conector con
dos niveles posibles de seguridad, de manera que el conector se
puede utilizar de diferentes formas para diferentes
aplicaciones.
El manguito puede tener una superficie exterior
nervada o de otra forma para mejorar el agarre y para hacer la
operación de liberación más fácil en espacios confinados. Una
sección extrema del alojamiento 40 puede estar rebajada para alojar
el manguito, sin aumentar significativamente el volumen total del
conector.
Para los expertos en la técnica resultarán
evidentes diversas modificaciones.
Claims (13)
1. Un conector eléctrico que comprende:
una parte macho (12) y una parte hembra (14)
un acoplamiento de bayoneta entre la parte macho
(12) y la parte hembra (14), en el que el acoplamiento de bayoneta
está definido por ranuras (30) en un cuerpo eléctricamente aislante
(18) de una parte y lengüetas (57) en la superficie interna de un
cuerpo eléctricamente aislante (40) de la otra parte;
un pasador cargado por muelle (45) que sobresale
desde la parte macho (12) o la parte hembra (14) y un rebaje (42)
en la otra parte macho (12) o hembra (14) para recibir el pasador

2. Un conector como el reivindicado en la
reivindicación 1, en el que la parte macho (12) tiene una parte de
conexión que comprende un manguito exterior aislante (18) y un
manguito conductor interior (66), y en el que una cubierta aislante
cargada por muelle (28) está montada dentro del manguito interior
(66) que está cargado por el muelle (62) para bloquear
sustancialmente el extremo abierto del manguito exterior (18).
3. Un conector como el reivindicado en la
reivindicación 2, en el que el manguito interior (66) define el
contacto de conector eléctrico de la parte macho (12).
4. Un conector como el reivindicado en la
reivindicación 2 ó 3, en el que el manguito aislante exterior (18)
está provisto de al menos un canal (30) para definir el acoplamiento
de bayoneta.
5. Un conector como el reivindicado en la
reivindicación 4, en el que el manguito aislante (18) está provisto
de dos canales para definir el acoplamiento de bayoneta, y que no
están orientados de forma simétricamente angular alrededor del
manguito (18).
6. Un conector como el reivindicado en cualquier
reivindicación precedente, en el que la parte hembra (14) comprende
un segundo manguito exterior aislante (40) y un pasador de conector
(54) alojado dentro del manguito aislante (40).
7. Un conector como el reivindicado en la
reivindicación 6, en el que un extremo (56) del pasador de conector
(54) próximo a un extremo abierto del segundo manguito aislante
exterior (40) está formado a partir de un aislante.
8. Un conector como el reivindicado en la
reivindicación 6 ó 7, en el que el pasador de conector comprende un
contacto (54) que está cargado por muelle radialmente hacia
fuera.
9. Un conector como el reivindicado en la
reivindicación 6, 7 u 8, en el que la superficie interior del
segundo manguito aislante (40) comprende al menos un saliente (57)
para definir el acoplamiento de bayoneta.
10. Un conector como el reivindicado en la
reivindicación 9, en el que la superficie interior del segundo
manguito aislante (40) comprende dos salientes (57) para definir el
acoplamiento de bayoneta, y que no están orientados de forma
angularmente simétrica alrededor de la superficie interna del
segundo manguito exterior (40).
11. Un conector como el reivindicado en
cualquier reivindicación precedente, en el que el manguito (70) está
conectado, de manera que se puede liberar, a la parte que tiene el
rebaje (42).
12. Un conector como el reivindicado en
cualquier reivindicación precedente, en el que una acoplamiento está
provisto entre el manguito (70) y la parte que tiene el rebaje
(42), comprendiendo el manguito una orejeta en uno de los manguitos
(70) y la parte y un canal cerrado para recibir la orejeta en el
otro manguito (70) y la parte.
13. Un conector como el reivindicado en
cualquier reivindicación precedente, en el que la parte macho (12)
tiene el pasador (42) y la parte hembra (14) tiene el rebaje
(42).
