Sewing device for sewing parts in band shapes on the edges of pieces of fabric, particularly zipper halves on the edges of sheath halves mattresses provided for a work table (1) for fabric pieces and a supporting arm for a sewing machine (10), fixedly arranged parallel to the surface of the worktable,

characterized in that the supporting arm is formed as a crossbar (2b) of a fixed bridge (2) that extends over the work table (1), whose work table (1a) reaches the opposite side of the area sewing machine, and that the sewing machine (10) is fixedly arranged in the crossbar (2b) provided with a straight sewing head (11), with a feed device in the presser foot and a transport installation is provided complementary (3) for the pieces of the fabric that are at least in the area of the straight sewing head (11).

2. Sewing device according to claim 1, characterized in that in the area of the straight sewing head (11) and the transport installation (3) an access hole is provided in the work table (1) for make possible the access of an operator.

3. Sewing device according to claim 1, characterized in that the transport installation (3) consists of two parallel endless belts (3a, 3b), which go towards the sewing direction, and between which it is provided a stop guide (4) for the edges of the pieces of fabric.

4. Sewing device according to claim 3, characterized in that on each side of the stop guide (4) there is a feed (5; 5 ') for a covering band (6) for the cutting edges of the pieces of cloth and a half zipper (13).

5. Sewing device according to claim 4, characterized in that the zipper halves (13) are cut in length or can be unwound from a respective reel.

6. Sewing device according to claim 1, characterized in that the straight sewing head (11) and the corresponding nail are formed as a multi-needle sewing device.
