Abstract

Description

Rigid package with a hinged lid.

The present invention relates to a package rigid with a hinged lid.

In particular, the invention relates to a rigid package of the type with a hinged lid set from of a flat and predetermined roughing of cardboard or material Similary.

The present invention finds advantageous application in the manufacture of cigarette packages, sector to which it will be done explicit reference in the description that follows, without it imply no restrictions, but it could also apply to the manufacture of cartons suitable for containing a plurality of packs of cigarettes

The objective of the present invention is to provide a rigid hinged lid package that is not present the disadvantages described above.

Another objective of the present invention is that of provide a rigid package of the hinged lid type that it requires a smaller amount of cardboard for its manufacture than the one it is needed for a parallelepiped package of similar dimensions perfectly rectangular section.

The stated objective is achieved in accordance with the present invention as described in claim 1.

Furthermore, in the dependent claims of 2 to 12 preferred embodiments of the invention are published.

Now the present invention will be described in details, by way of example, with the help of the drawings annexes, in which:

- Figure 1 shows a preferred embodiment of the package according to the present invention, perspective view from the front and shown in a closed configuration;

- figure 2 shows the package of figure 1 in the open configuration, viewed in perspective from the part frontal;

- figure 3 shows the package of figure 1 in its closed configuration, viewed in perspective from the part later;

With reference to figures 1 to 5 of the drawings, numeral 1 denotes a package, in its entirety, which in its inside contains a group of cigarettes (2) arranged in strata; in the example in figure 2 there are three strata, of the which intermediate layer has a cigarette (2) less than Two external strata.

The package (1) comprises a container (3) with cup shape with an open top end, denoted with the numeral 4, and a lid (5) also shaped like a hinged cup container (3) and therefore rotating with respect to the container (3) between an open position and a closed position in which it remains hidden the upper end (4).

With the lid (5) in its closed position, the package (1) assumes the shape of a parallelepiped substantially rectangular formed by a front face (6) and a back face (7) parallel to each other, two side faces (8) substantially parallel to each other and have a convex profile, arranged substantially perpendicular to the front and back faces (6 and 7) and attached to those same faces (6 and 7) along respective live corners (9), apart from an upper end face (10) and a lower end face (11) parallel to each other and perpendicular to the remaining four faces (6, 7 and 8).

Each side face (8) has a portion flat central (12) of substantially rectangular configuration, bounded at the top by a rectilinear central portion (13) presented by a shorter side (14) of the upper end face (10), and at the bottom delimited by a rectilinear central portion (15) presented by a shorter side (16) of the lower end face (eleven); the upper and lower rectilinear central portions (13 and 15) are identical to each other. Each side face (8) also comprises two longitudinal side bands (17) located one on each side of the central portion (12), between the central portion (12) and the respective corner (9). Each band (17) can be folded internally due to longitudinal weakening lines (18), so assume a curved profile with its concave face directed inward, and it has an upper edge with a curved portion (19) presented by the shorter side (14) of the upper end face (10), and an edge bottom with a curved portion (20) presented on the shortest side (16) of the lower end face (11); the upper curved portions e Lower (19 and 20) are identical to each other.

By virtue of what has been described above, it remains of course, as can be discerned from figures 4 and 5, that the distance between the central portions (12) of the side faces (8) is greater than the corresponding distance between the corners (9).

Each of the front, back and lateral (6, 7 and 8) include an upper portion denoted by the suffix "a", which matches a respective face of the cover (5), and a lower portion denoted by the suffix "b" that matches a respective face of the container (3), while the upper end face (10) matches the top of the lid (5) and the bottom end face (11) with the bottom of the container (3).

Each side piece (30) has a portion flat panel (31) intended to adhere to the respective surface interior of the flat central portion (12) presented by the respective side face (8) of the package (1), and two respective predefined side bands (32) of curved profile intended for adhere in part to the inner surfaces of the bands lateral (17) presented by the lateral face (8). Portions flat centrals (31) of the side pieces (30) are connected by the side bands (32) to the previous part (29) of the frame (28) by means of respective living corners (33) that match the corners (9) of the front face (6).

Each side band (32) becomes foldable by a respective plurality of die cut lines longitudinal, and each corner (33) has a longitudinal groove (34) that conventionally serves to create a respective lip (35) located to interact with an internal surface of the lid (5) so as to hold the same cover (5) in the closed position. Finally, the previous piece (29) of the frame (28) presents a trimmed central portion (36), with the cutout directed towards the cover (5).

With reference to figures 6 and 7, the package (1) is preferably configured from a flat roughing die cut (37) of substantially elongated configuration and rectangular, whose parts are denoted with the same numbers, cousins, which were used to indicate the corresponding parts of the Package (1) finished.

The roughing (37) can refer to an axis of predominantly longitudinal symmetry (38) and has two lines of weakening (39 and 40) arranged on each side of the shaft (38), that extend parallel to the axis (38) and divide the roughing (37) in three longitudinal sectors (41, 42 and 43) juxtaposed. The roughing (37) also comprises a plurality of lateral fins (50, 51, 52 and 53) joined, in pairs and along from longitudinal weakening lines (39 and 40), to the edges external panels (6a ', 7a', 7b 'and 6b'), respectively, of which fins denoted with "51" have appendages Longitudinal (54) joined along the line of weakness cross section denoted with "46" and directed towards the fins denoted with "50". The panel (6a ') mentioned above is also attached, along the first transverse weakening line (44), to a reinforcing tongue (64) of substantially wide width equal to the width of the same panel (6a ').

The package (1) of the example in Figure 8 is shape in exactly the same way as the package (1) displayed in Figures 1, 2 and 3 but used to house a group of cigarettes (2) comprising four strata, of which the two strata Internal (65) include one more cigarette than external strata (66).

The roughing (37) shown in Figure 12 differs of the roughing (37) of figures 6 and 7 due to the fact that the fins (50, 51, 52 and 53) have no predefined sidebands external (60, 61, 62 and 63). In this case the plan view of the package (1) of figure 4 becomes as indicated in figure 11, where the side faces (8) of the package (1) are assembled with contact overlap between the flat central portions (12) generated by the flat portions (56 and 58) of the corresponding fins (50 and 53) and between the side bands (17) adjacent to the live corners (9) of the front face (6).

Finally, in the example in Figure 9, each one of the appendices (54 and 55) comprises a central portion substantially rectangular (67) linked to flat portions (57 and 58) of the corresponding lateral fins (51 and 52), and two lateral portions (68 and 69) located on each side of the portion central (67).

The lateral portions (68 and 69) have a substantially trapezoidal shape, and the respective sides more close to the fins (51 and 52), which extend from the line to along which the appendices (54 and 55) are attached to the corresponding flat portions (57 and 58), have a profile curved identical to the curved portions (19 'and 20') presented by the intermediate panels (10 'and 11').

Claims (12)

1. Rigid package with a hinged lid, which is presented substantially as a rectangular parallelepiped comprising: a front face (6) and a rear face (7) substantially parallel to each other; two lateral faces (8) arranged parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to the front and rear faces (6 and 7); the front and back faces (6 and 7) being attached to the side faces (8); each of the lateral faces (8) presenting a respective flat central portion (12) and two lateral bands (17); each side band being attached to the front face (6) or back face (7) along a living corner (9), characterized by the fact that each side band (17) has a curved profile with the concave side directed towards inside and is connected to the respective flat central portion (12). 2. Package according to claim 1, wherein the lateral bands (17) have a plurality of lines of longitudinal weakening (18). 3. Package according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the distance between the flat central portions (12) is greater than the distance between the living corners (9), measured parallel to the front face (6) and back face (7) respectively. 4. Package according to claims 1 to 3, comprising a cup-shaped container (3) with one end top open (4), a lid (5) also cup-shaped hinged to the upper open end (4) and swivel between positions in which the container (3) is open and closed, and a reinforcing frame (28) fixed to the container (3) and protruding partly from the open upper end (4). 5. Package according to claim 4, wherein the frame (28) presents a flat front piece (29) intended for adhere in part to the inside of the front face (6) of the package, and two side pieces (30) each presenting a flat portion (31) intended to adhere to the respective surface internal of the flat central portion (12) presented by the respective side face (8) of the package (1), also two respective predefined sidebands (32) intended to adhere in part to the internal surfaces of the lateral bands (17) presented on the lateral face (8), the flat central portions (31) of the side pieces (30) being connected by the bands lateral (32) to the previous part (29) of the frame (28) by means of respective living corners (33). 6.
