Abstract

Un procedimiento para la conversión de aldehídos usando un tamiz molecular y uso del tamiz molecular como catalizador en el procedimiento. Un procedimiento para la conversión de aldehídos que comprende poner en contacto un aldehído con agua oxigenada y con un catalizador, en condiciones de oxidación, caracterizado porque el catalizador es un tamiz molecular con poros de un diámetro de al menos 0,52 mm y tiene una fórmula empírica en forma calcinada y deshidratada de (SnxTiySi1-x-y-zGez)O2 donde x es una fracción molar del estaño y tiene un valor entre 0,001 y 0,1; y es una fracción molar de titanio y tiene un valor de cero a 0,1; y z es la fracción molar del germanio y tiene un valor de cero a 0,08.
