Abstract

Procedure and device for the removal of large electrical appliances. In the disposal of large electrical appliances (24, 25), which have closed housings at least for the most part, from the group of transformers and capacitors, filled with hydrocarbons from the PCB group and PCB mixtures, by means of thermal recycling, are placed large appliances (24, 25) with their housings and with at least a part of the quantities necessary for the service of these hydrocarbons in a treatment chamber (1) and after the initial evacuation and filling with inert gas without other feeding of washing and transport gases, with regulated chamber pressures and with the recondensation of hydrocarbon vapors, are heated to the temperatures above the hydrocarbon vapor pressure curves, through which the hydrocarbons evaporate by boiling. The chamber pressure is then reduced to values below the hydrocarbon vapor pressure curves. For this, hydrocarbon vapors are permanently extracted. For subsequent treatment, hydrocarbon vapors, including PCB vapors, are fed to condensers, which are made as injection condensers and/or surface condensers.
