Abstract

The invention relates to a rear view mirror of the type that comprises a support (1) which is fixed to the body of the vehicle and a mirror-supporting structure (2) which can rotate around two axes: a rear axis (4) that is used to rotate the mirror-supporting structure (2) from the driving position to the parking position and vice versa, and a forward axis (5) that is used to rotate the mirror-supporting structure (2) from the driving position to a forward folding position. A mechanism for positioning (12) the mirror-supporting structure (2) in the parking position is disposed on the support (1), said mechanism being provided with a removable container (13) and a positioning spring (7).
