Abstract
The intravenous bio-sensor for the measurement of blood conductivity has a structure of different bio-compatible materials fitted inside a tubular stainless steel structure with a thin wall and denominated as sensor head which activates a hypodermic needle, inside which are both electrodes which undertake the measurement. Two flexible wings fix the device to the skin to immobilize it and an elastic base protects the electrical conductors which carry the information from the sensor to the electronic measurement system. An electronic circuit generates the main signal, processes the data and presents the parameter on a screen with adequate units of conductivity.
