Abstract
An apparatus for detecting and measuring physiological signals comprising a sensor device with a plurality of electrodes (11, 21, 31) and a signal processing means (90). The sensor device and the signal processing means (90) form an integral unit (10, 20, 30, 80) shaped as a flat element to be engaged with the torso of a human body for measuring the activity of the heart. The integral unit (10, 20, 30, 80), which is easy to handle for a person without medically skill, has selection means (100) for selecting signals according to pre-set conditions and means for transferring the selected signals to a medical skilled person at an external location.
